I became very close with a friend in college. One day on vacation friend invited us to their house and he wants to show us around their city. My friend's city is a little far from my house. There is not much going to the city except for important work. But the day after yesterday I went to visit their house with another friend of mine. I went there and experienced a new experience. I visited the famous famous places of the city. This city has never been seen like this before. Three friends roamed the whole city together and had exciting moments. Those moments will be shared with you today.
Me and one of my friends get up early in the morning and leave for our destination. It takes about 2 hours by bus from our house to the city. We left by a bus called 'Kurigram AR Travels'. It took a little longer to get the highway working
We left at 8 am. After a 2 hour bus journey, I reached the city at 10 am. My friend came to the bus station to receive us. Then we boarded a rickshaw and went to their house. After we freshened up, aunty let us eat. On hearing that we were going, aunty had already cooked a lot of delicious food for us.
This is the view of the highway road from the balcony of my friend's house. Standing on the balcony, one can enjoy the beautiful view of the traffic on the road.
After some time we three friends went out to see the city. While passing through the busy road, the first thing that comes to eyes is the cantonment.
A monument was built in the gate of the freedom fighters. It is the residence of district soldiers.
Then we go to visit the most famous and largest mosque in the city.
Rangpur Court is just 100 yards south of Kachari Bazar, the main center of the district town of Rangpur. A large old mosque will be seen in front of the large field of Munsipara after passing the court square. The architecture and grandeur of the mosque, built in a mixture of Mughal architecture and Bengali style, grabs everyone's attention. Its height above the plain is about 18 feet. It has three round domes. These are built based on the shape of the drum. Each dome has a marlon ornament at the base and a callasmatic finial surmounted by an inflated lotus in the center. There are octagonal pillars at each corner. The domes are elaborately constructed resting on the arches of the queens and pendentive arches. Apart from this, the presence of bands along with the ornamentation of arches and panels by keeping a certain distance
According to history, the famous Sufi and Dervish Maulana Karamat Ali Jainpuri (RA) came to Rangpur in Bangladesh from Jainpur in India in the middle of the 19th century to spread Islam. With his initiative and efforts, numerous mosques, madrasas, khankas and service centers were built in many places in and around Rangpur. This mosque and madrasa were built near the Rangpur Kachari market. The mosque founded by him was named Karamatiya Mosque after his name. However, it is popularly known as Keramatiya Mosque in local pronunciation. Born in Jainpur, India on 12th June, 1800 AD (18th Muharram, 1215 Hijri), this great saint passed away on 30th May, 1873. After his death, he was buried in front of this mosque.
Later, when the mosque was expanded, the shrine of Maulana Keramat Ali Jainpuri (RA) also came inside the main structure of the mosque. At present, his and his wife's graves are located in a walled room in front of the balcony on the east side of the mosque. People from different parts of the country come here every day to visit the shrine of Maulana Keramat Ali Jainpuri (RA). A large number of people gather in this mosque on Fridays. Thousands of worshipers can pray together inside this three-storey mosque. There is a good arrangement for women to pray in this mosque.
The district court is right next to the mosque. The red high-rise building in District George Court is also very beautiful to look at.
Then we drive to Rangpur's famous park Chikli Bill Park, a tourist center in the heart of its Ank town.
The beauty of this bill fascinates everyone. The place was once used as a seaplane landing station. In winter, this bill used to become lively with the chirping of various guest birds. The spectacular Chikli Water and Garden Park has been built next to this hundred-year-old Chikli Bill in Hanumantala area of Rangpur. This park developed by private initiative has already become popular among the countrymen.
You can enjoy your best moments in the beautiful environment on the banks of the bill. Although it is crowded here, there is a place to sit and relax. There are also mini trains and various rides set up for amusement.
Currently, Chikli's bill is divided into two parts. A water park has been built to the south of the bill. There are also various water rides. And the north side of the bill which is called Chikley Water Garden.
You will get a bird's eye view of Rangpur city if you ride the giant wheelbarrow there. Chicley Bill is a wonderful place to spend a fall afternoon
The main attraction of Chikli Water Park is the artificial fountain. It is better to see this waterfall at night than during the day. At night, the eyes will be filled with the flashing lights of different colors.
There are several canals inside the park. The colorful fish are playing there transparently. If you want, you can also float in the speed boat in this park. Chairs or benches are arranged at various places for the visitors to sit and chat. Not once did we feel like we wasted a bit of time when we came to this amusement park. Really enjoyed many beautiful moments. As there were clouds in the sky, we left early in the evening for our friend's house.
On my way back home I enjoyed the beautiful night view of the mosque and the cantonment. The places look more beautiful at night than during the day. It was a truly mind-blowing place.
After that night, I came to my friend's house and it started raining outside. Then I went to the balcony to enjoy the rain-soaked night view.
It was raining outside but there was no traffic and non stop vehicles run on the highway. This rain cooled down the hot weather of the day in no time.
The day was really exciting. The moments of this day are not to be forgotten. They will be remembered for a lifetime.
