16th December, Victory Day is celebrated as a special day in Bangladesh all over the country. The day is specially celebrated in Bangladesh on 16 December every year. In a notification issued on 22 January 1972, the day was celebrated as a national day in Bangladesh and the day was officially declared a holiday. After 9 months of fighting, on 16 December 1971, around 93,000 members of the Pakistani army formally surrendered to the joint forces of Bangladesh and India at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka. by doing As a result, a new independent and sovereign state called Bangladesh emerged on earth. This day is also celebrated as Victory Day in India. On this occasion, the day is celebrated in Bangladesh every year with due solemnity and great enthusiasm. The day started with a 31-gun salute in the early hours of December 16. Members of the Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Force participated in the combined military parade held at the National Parade Square. As part of the parade, the Chief President or Prime Minister of the country takes the salute. A large number of people gathered to watch this parade. As a part of paying tribute to those who died in the independence war of Bangladesh, the President, Prime Minister, opposition party leaders and workers, various social and cultural organizations and people from all walks of life offered wreaths at the National Memorial located in Savar, Dhaka.
Tomorrow is the Great Victory Day, an unforgettable glorious day of a thousand years of bravery and valor of the Bengali nation. A day to make a debut as a nation of heroes. The day of naming an independent land called Bangladesh on the world map.
Under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from 1948 to 1952, the language movement of 1952, the six points of 1966, the mass uprising of 1969, the historic speech of 7 March 1971, when the genocide began on 25 March, Bangabandhu's declaration of independence in the early hours of 26 March, Mujibnagar on 17 April. Independence was achieved at the cost of the sacrifice of 3 million martyrs and 2 million mothers and sisters through the formation of the government and the bloody liberation war. On December 16, 1971, the final victory was achieved through the surrender of the Pak Army. As such, the 51st anniversary of victory is coming.
At the national level, the day will be started by firing 31 rounds of cannon in Dhaka on this day. At sunrise, the President and the Prime Minister will lay wreaths at the Savar National Memorial. After that, in the presence of the Minister of Liberation War Affairs, Vir Shreshtha family, war wounded freedom fighters and brave freedom fighters will offer wreaths. Foreign diplomats stationed in Bangladesh, invited members of the Indian Army who participated as members of the Allied Forces in the Liberation War and people from all walks of life including various political and social organizations will pay their respects to the freedom fighters martyred in the Great Liberation War by offering wreaths.
Besides, a colorful parade of the combined forces will be held at the National Parade Square at Tejgaon Old Airport at 10:30 am. The President will be present as the Chief Guest to inspect the parade and take salute. The Prime Minister will also attend the parade. President and Prime Minister delivered messages on the occasion. Newspapers will publish special articles highlighting the significance of the day. On this occasion, the electronic media will promote various programs based on the Liberation War for a month.
On December 16, 1971, the Bengali nation broke the shackles of subjugation and tasted freedom for the first time. After 24 years of nag, a new sunrise appeared in the fortunes of the nation. The blood glow of the morning sun spreads from this part of Bangladesh to the other part. A sound in unison spread the new message 'JOY BANGLA' Bengal's victory, the sun has risen in the eastern horizon, the blood is red, the blood is red, the blood is red. The exhilaration of Mahamukti enlivens the nation with a new joy on this day. Deprived Bengalis, who have been exploited for ages, move forward with tears of joy and iron determination. Bengali should find his own identity.
At the final stage of the cultural and socio-economic life and development of the original Bengali, the bravery of the Bengali should burn once again. The first fire was lit on February 21, 1952. The demand of the language movement and the fisted hands of the maddened masses became one on that day in the fire of Fagun. The first sacrifice for the language was observed by the world with astonishment. Since then, the struggle to break the shackles of Bengali began. At the very beginning of the reckoning with the Pakistanis, the Bengalis started their struggle for existence with bloodshed. The fire that burned in the capital city of Dhaka in 1952 gradually spread to all parts of the country. The fire that burned in my soul, that fire spread everywhere. The fire burning in the heart of a Bengali should continue to flow into the Bengali.
After completing sixty-two, seventy-nine and seventy-one, the Bengali nation sat down to calculate. Pakistanis are not sitting in the reckoning and debts. They also keep calculating how the Bengali nation can be kept under the shackles of subjugation for ages. For them this ornament is the best Bengali deserves. The ticking sound of the clock indicates that it is time to complete the calculation.
Finally, from the deep blackness of darkness, Hiranmay Hathyaar woke up. On March 7, 1971, Bangabandhu Vajrakantha, the poet of the era and the author of the epic poem, declared, "This time's struggle is our freedom struggle, this time's struggle is the struggle for freedom." When I have given blood, I will give more, but I will leave this country free, inshallah. Bengali can get true guidance in this single utterance. Bengali started preparing for the final fight. Bengali understands that the final bite is imminent. Pakistanis are not sitting anymore. On March 25, seventy-one pounced on the sleeping nation with lethal weapons aimed at stifling the entire nation. Bengali Nidhan Yajna begins. The smell of corpses in the air, the sky filled with gunpowder and smoke. This is like a ghost town. The vulture's claws in the sky, the lamentation of the endangered people below. Oh Bangladesh. One is Bangladesh. This is like a burning crematorium. But it is true that piles of bones and skulls are sedimented one day.
The freedom-crazed Bengal boys took up arms one day saying that they would steal the blood of freedom from the Sun. Students, teachers, intellectuals, farmers, workers, blacksmiths, potters all participate in this struggle. Every freedom fighter's weapon gets sharper as days pass. Keeping the goal fixed, the brave Bengali went forward with determination to defeat the enemy. International support for the Bengali independence movement was already evident. Neighboring India also got involved in the battle of fate of Bengalis. December came to the final stage of this war.
Finally a new dawn came in the life of the Bengali nation after ending the nightmare of nine months. With the sunrise on December 16, the inevitable victory of the Liberation War began. Through this came the desired freedom of a thousand years. The Bengali nation gained the right to control its destiny on this day. The blood of 30 lakh martyrs and the honor of 3 lakh raped mothers and sisters gave independence in Bengali life.
