Everyone wants to have a perfect family comprises of a father, a mother, and children. But there are times life is unfair wherein unexpected and bad experiences happen that will test your relationship. This is a short post about my desire and experience to have a family that will stay forever.

Being a single mom is not easy at first. I thought I will raise my son on my own. My past relationship with my ex didn't work out because of his vices, bad attitude, not being family-oriented, and irresponsible in life. I had some doubts, fears, and sleepless nights after I ended our relationship. My parents didn't want me also to spend the rest of my life with the man whom I thought to be my lifetime partner. We ended our relationship with one son whom I raised on my own.

Two years after being broken, least I expect that someone will come into my life. We were working in the same school as public teachers. Being teased by our workmates since he was single, we became close with each other. To make this post short, 8 months after our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend, we decided to tie the knot. I admire his courage to accept my past, embrace my weaknesses, and treat my son as his child. We got married last November 17, 2018, and a year after, we were blessed to have a lovely daughter who is now 2 years old and 8 months. Added to this family is another baby whom I am excited about the gender coz I am 5 months pregnant.

No family is perfect I guess. Everyone has his flaws, limitations, weaknesses, and struggles in life. We may not end up having the perfect family at first or we might experience bitterness in life at first, but when you have faith and trust God's timing, He will surely bless you with the kind of family you deserved. Thank you, Lord, for the gift of family.
