ENGINEERING – BLOCKCHAIN DEVELOPMENT / FULL-TIME ONSITE (in Singapore) or FULLY REMOTE (any time-zone)

SmartBCH (SEP20) is an EVM & Web3-compatible sidechain for Bitcoin Cash. The underlying storage and execution engines are written from scratch, to fully exploit modern hardware's inherent parallelism. Compared to other EVMcompatible blockchains, it has dramatically higher throughput. We are looking for an experienced Golang Developer to join our team. If you want to understand how EVM&Web3 semantics are implemented in low-level libraries and work to further boost the performance of blockchains, this is an excellent opportunity. The current team consists of three Chinese developers working with Matrixport. To further decentralize the development of smartBCH, Bitdeer is offering headcounts to support more developers for the network. We are flexible in terms of the location for this role, however Asian timezones are preferred. If you live in Singapore, Bitdeer provides on-site opportunities. If necessary, you can work remotely from anywhere in the world.

Responsibilities

▪ Study the existing code and design documents of the full-node client, to understand how it works.

▪ Test and analyze existing code to find bugs and security vulnerabilities.

▪ Writing proper documentation and offering tech support to the community.

▪ Find performance bottlenecks and optimize the code to alleviate them.

▪ Design new components for the smartBCH full-node client to add new features.

Requirements

▪ 2-5+ years of relevant experience as a Golang developer.

▪ Basic knowledge of blockchain concepts, especially BTC and Ethereum.

▪ Extensive experience in software design, architecture, development integration.

▪ Basic experience in Docker and AWS services (preferred).

▪ A good understanding of popular DApps (preferred).
