"The Beauty of Donsol Sorsogon" - one of the tourist destination in our country.
Known as “The Whale Shark Capital”, Donsol is a small town of Sorsogon that possesses a treasure that comes from the ocean, the Butanding. The whale shark or butanding is a large ocean animal that reaches 15 meters or more in length but in its size and strength remains gentle and safe to humans. As a result, Donsol has become one of the tourist destinations in our country.
Hi guyss !! It’s me again karl. I was born and raised in the village of Tinanogan in the town of Donsol and the province of Sorsogon in the Bicol region. And can at least visit my mother province, that's why during the fiesta in our village I took the opportunity to visit here to celebrate my vacation. When we toured Bicol, we did not miss Donsol, Sorsogon to see its beauty. From our brgy to Dancalan Tourism is 30 minutes to an hour We traveled to reach it. The flight also takes a few hours but you will be entertained by the sights on the way such as the golden rice field on the side of the road while also overlooking the beauty of Mayon Volcano.
Afternoon when we arrived in Barangay Dancalan where the Tourist Center of the town is located. Even though we were very tired because of the long trip, we were finally able to see the beautiful beach. Nothing more flaky and we immediately went in and were excited for whale shark viewing.
At the points we actually see the beauty and size of the gentle fish that butanding is, immeasurable the smile and joy that dominates our Faces because you will never think that you can play With these giant animals that at first glance are you will really be scared of its very dangerous size and form but we found out that the reason why they stay here in the sea of Barangay Dancalan is because of the mixture of sea water and fresh water which is the most preferred habitat of the butandings.
After the very fun adventure we had in interacting with the gentle butandings, we also enjoyed the beautiful view that has the donsol tourist center and the diamonds view of the sea water, the fresh air blowing and the beautiful sound of the waves.
After a little rest time we headed to the market to buy fresh fish and more. You can almost see all kinds of fish here as well as sharks. The shark is one of the favorites of the Bicolanos and they make it cut and cooked a type of Bicolano dish, with chili and coconut milk.
After shopping, we went to a family member's house to spend the night. Many old houses still stand in this area. Even though they are old they still remain nice and noticeably large and spacious its space.
We rested again for a while and to make the most of a day visit to Donsol we planned to do Firefly Watching with other family members. I can say that this is one of the fun adventures that can be done in the town of Donsol. If you get to travel in donsol sorsogon, be sure not to miss it.
