To those who demand a full disclosure of patient information, please understand that there is also a limitation for transparency because we are bounded by law.
There is an extent to what the custodians of information can share and disclose to the public. We cannot insist a full disclosure as it is against the law. Because if we have the right for transparency, the “positive” individual also has the right for privacy and confidentiality (Patient’s Bill of Rights).
The custodians are only duty-bound to disclose to the public that there is indeed a “positive” individual and a general view or information (RA 11332) but they aren’t allowed to disclose the full name and the exact address (RA 10173).
Meanwhile, the “positive” individual is duty-bound to disclose all pertinent informations ONLY to the health agency concerned for proper management and intervention 😉.
