Ashis Paul is the creative supervisor of the Gray Group who came up with the idea of making the Eco-Cooler, a simple device that can make the air in the house cooler. According to National Geographic, Bangladesh's average summer temperature is 45 degrees Celsius. Plus, the houses there are mostly made of iron-zinc sheets which of course can make the air in the house hotter when the air temperature is hot. Worse, there is no electricity in parts of Bangladesh.

Actually, the concept is very simple. Let's try blowing our hands with our mouths open, for sure the air temperature will be hotter than when blowing with a pursed mouth like when blowing a flute. This is because the nature of the air coming out of the smaller hole has a greater pressure, the rate is also greater, so the temperature will be lower. Research shows that the difference can reach 5 degrees Celsius. So, if the normal air temperature is 45 degrees Celsius, then the air that comes out of the Eco-Cooler can only be 40 degrees Celsius.

The trick is simply to punch a hole in the wooden board with a hole the size of the mouth of a plastic bottle.
