Primary and Mass Education Secretary Mohammad Akram Al Hossain said the environment for opening primary schools across the country has not yet been created in the Corona situation.
He said the schools have been instructed to take precautionary measures to create an environment for opening schools at any time in compliance with the health norms.
The senior secretary told reporters at his office in the secretariat on Wednesday (September 9), the day after the publication of the guidelines for reopening schools in compliance with public health and hygiene rules in the Covid-19 situation.
The guidelines ask head teachers to prepare 15 days before the school opens, and there are several guidelines for teachers. After the issuance of this directive, misunderstanding has arisen that the government has given instructions to open primary schools.
Akram, senior secretary at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, said, "If there is an environment for opening schools, I will instruct the headmasters to prepare following the guidelines."
The school will be closed till October 3, the senior secretary said, adding that the teachers of the school are government employees. The offices were closed during the lockdown. We are now opening offices and doing government work.
