The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the investigating agency in the case, said reports from other committees on the blast at the Baitus Salat Jame Mosque in Narayanganj's West Talla area would also be taken into consideration.

CID Deputy Inspector General (DIG) visited Baitus Salat Jame Mosque on Saturday afternoon. Mainul Hasan said this. A case has been filed at Fatulla police station in connection with the blast.

Mainul Hasan said, ‘We will investigate this incident with our highest professional attitude. An investigation report will be submitted to the court accusing those against whom allegations will be made on the basis of evidence in the investigation of the incident.

The DIG said, ‘This incident could have happened from gas. However, it is difficult to say anything definite until the investigation is over. We will look into the issues of gas or electricity here. We will consider the investigation of other committees that have been formed after this incident. We will then create the final report with the help of our forensic team. However, we have not received any investigation report yet.

Asked if any evidence was found, Mainul Hasan said, "We have our own forensic team including fire service and Titas Gas." Evidence is being collected under the supervision of a forensic team. The testimony of the local people, the signs that are there will be examined. All in all, we will investigate the kind of information and evidence that will be found. '

The blast took place at the Baitus Salat Jame Mosque in the western part of Fatulla in Narayanganj on September 4 while the Esha prayers were being offered. In that incident, 36 burnt people were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Sheikh Hasina Burn Unit. So far 31 people have died. The condition of the five is still critical. A case was filed at Fatullah police station a day after the blast. The case was later handed over to the CID. The district administration, Titas Gas and Fire Service and Civil Defense have formed three investigation committees into the incident.
