Sajadul Islam, Kurigram Correspondent: Police have arrested a teenager named Nur Amin alias Bhola (13) on charges of raping a 6-year-old child at Ulipur in Kurigram. The arrested teenager is the son of Shahidul Islam of Ramdas Dhaniram Khewar village in Ulipur municipality.
It is learned that the child was playing in front of the house last Sunday (September 6) afternoon. At that time, the vampire Nur Amin took the child to his house saying that he was playing. At that time, he raped the child as there were no people in Nur Amin's house. After hearing the baby's cries, the victim's mother and grandmother ran to rescue him in a bloody state. They then took the child to Ulipur Upazila Health Complex for treatment. Later the doctor on duty there referred the child to Kurigram Sadar Hospital for better treatment. At present the child is undergoing treatment at Kurigram Sadar Hospital.
The boy's father filed a case with the police on Monday (September 6) and arrested the teenager.
Ulipur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moazzem Hossain confirmed the incident and said the arrested accused has been sent to jail through the court.
