Lexicorn s valentines day.
The 12th of February, lexicorn was filled with dread about the upcoming holiday. VALENTINES DAY or as some people say hallmark day! As a young girl Valentines day is a very big deal, the fear about being left out, the sadist of not feeling loved and the anxiety of feeling unwanted. Lexicorn hated this day as it made her feel awful about herself. Everywhere She went people holding hands, girls talking about their plans and their hopes of What so and so would buy them.
Lexicorn and two of her friends we're having a movie night, the old age discussion about what to watch. Lexicorn suggested a comedy but as it was so close to valentines they Settled on a romantic movie. Lexicorn watched as unpopular girl meets popular boy blah blah blah!!!! Sick of feeling down She said " i m done with this crap, done feeling sorry for myself"
The next day, after her new revelation of why should I feel like this and why do we listen to movies and fairy tales!!!" Iām Smart Iām beautiful Iām funny" she said to herself in the mirror. off lexicorn went to school happy smiling feeling
good. walking into school head held high, She had a great day Ignored all the love birds and enjoyed a laugh with her friends.
later that day lexicorn New found revelation faded as her best friend got asked on a date, although She was happy for her friend It made her yet again think WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!
The 14 th D DAY, or V DAY Lexicorn plans were gone now, the galantines her and her BFF had!!!!! feeling sorry for herself all day she decided to Stay at home eat pizza, watch comedies and eat chocolate. Lexicorn went out to check the post box later that night, In Pj s, Hair a mess a little stinky and pizza sauce on her face. As she opened the mail box SHE WAS SHOCKED, sitting inside was a Rose "A ROSE" and a note.
The note read" Lex you are beautiful kind smart Funny, but 1 1 m shy, so I wrote this letter because I can't tell you in person, From Shy Boy x x x"
As her eyes filled with tears of joy She realised, although delighted with her gift, She is enough and didn't need that letter to understand this fact! It did help a little a though.
