Theme: Beware Of Unfriendly Friends
Basic Scripture: Micah 7:5-6
Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
Welcome to today’s devotional! Know this, your enemy is not an outsider! Your enemy is someone you trust. Your enemy is someone you eat and drink with. Your enemy is someone you share your top secret with. Your enemy is someone very close to you. Your enemy is that your friend. Your enemy is that your brother. Your enemy is from your own household.
That is why today’s scripture says “Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom… a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.” Remember it was Joseph’s brothers that sold Joseph as a slave. It was Sampson’s lover that betrayed him. And it was Jesus’s disciple Judas Iscariot that betrayed Jesus.
The problems of many people are because of the unfriendly friends they have. The one that will destroy you is the one that has your secret. Refuse to be a victim of unfriendly friends. I pray God will reveal every secret deceit of evil friends, neighbors, family members, or business partners concerning your life. May you not train your own enemy to your own destruction! May they not use your secret against you. Those spying on you to hurt you will come begging for forgiveness. Be careful about how you share your secrets. Keep the doors of your mouth and save your life. Beware of unfriendly friends. Pray Now
