Theme: Don’t Waste Your Treasure
Basic Scripture: Ecclesiastes 9:4-5
For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Welcome to today’s devotional with the King of kings! You must understand that the richest people in the world are in the cemeteries or graveyards. The wealthiest place in the world is the cemeteries. There lies inventions that were never made, bestselling books that were never written. In the cemetery is buried the greatest treasure of untapped potentials. In the graveyard lies great business idea not carried out due to timidity, great decision never taken due to fear of the crowd or criticism. In the cemetery lies great songs that were never sung, leaders that never ruled, and pastors that never pastored. In the graveyard lies wonderful sermons that were never preached, footballers that never played. The cemetery is full of dead bones but it is also full of undiscovered greatness and treasure.
That is why today’s scripture says “For to him that is join to all the living there is hope…” That is to say, there is hope for the living to utilize his treasurable potential. There is hope for the living to make good use of his or her talent.
That is why you must not die wasted or forgotten. Don’t allow sin, laziness, procrastination, problems, etc. to distract you from fulfilling your destiny while alive. You will not be added to the wealth and richest of the graveyards! You will not waste the treasures God has putting in you. Be determine to impact your generation with all that is in you before God calls you to glory. Be determine to utilize your potential to the fullest before you leave this earth. Don’t waste your treasure! Don’t waste your potential! Don’t waste your talent! Pray Now
