Theme: Don’t Share His Glory
Basic Scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:1-7
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
Welcome to today’s devotional! You must understand that God does not share His glory with any man. He hates given His glory to another. “I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” (Isaiah 42:8). That is why you have to learn not to take the glory for yourself when God uses you to do something. Learn not to share His glory. Don’t take the glory when you help someone. Don’t take the glory when you accomplish a great thing in life. He shares His glory with no one.
In today’s scripture, the people wanted to give God’s glory to Paul and Apollos but Paul had to rebuke them and correct them. Paul speaking in verse 5 says “Who is Paul, and who is Apollos…” Paul could not take the glory for himself. It will be a deadly thing for him to do that. He knew he couldn’t share God’s glory.
The struggle of this world is as a result of not acknowledging God as the source and the doer of all things. Many businesses, ministries, jobs, careers, etc. collapsed because they couldn’t recognize God as the doer and they took the glory for themselves. Many miracles don’t last because they didn’t acknowledge God as the doer of such a miracle. Learn to acknowledge that any good thing that happens in your life, family, and ministry is the doings of the Lord and not your strength. Learn to give God His glory if you do not want to end up wasted. Don’t take any glory for yourself. Don’t share in His glory. Pray Now

2. Lord, I repent from ways in which I took your glory for myself, have mercy on me and forgive me today in Jesus mighty name.
3. Praise God more today and return all His glory to him.
