Theme: Give To Your Man Of God
Basic Scripture: 1 Corinthians 9:1-11
Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?... If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
Welcome to today’s Hour of Restoration! I will like to share the story of a man of God. This man of God was used by God to change the story of his members. He was always on the go settling marital issues, conflict at homes and God was using him greatly. One Sunday he was ministering very greatly as usual, and a sister who was depressed and wanted to give up in life was touched by his message and she got her testimony. After church, she wanted to go and thank the pastor in his house for the message that came in church. On the arrival at the pastor’s house, she heard the pastor’s wife complaining bitterly that they have nothing in the house and they have not eaten since last night. This sister felt very bad and tears flowed down her face. The pastor was blessing his members but the members refused to bless him back in return.
That is why today’s scripture says “If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?” Very sad! One of the keys to unlocking God’s favor is sowing into the life of any man or woman God has called.
Sometimes it is not because they are in need or poor but because you need the Grace that is upon them. Don’t give a man of God out of pity, give out of duty and love. Encourage and sow into the life of your pastor or a man of God this week! Stop seeing only the weakness of your pastor or a man of God. Do you know some men of God want to give up secretly? Your encouragement, prayers, and your seed will keep them going. Encourage any man that has helped you spiritually this week. They are humans and they also need encouragement. Pray Now
