Rewrite The Story
Basic Scripture: Mark 6:1-3
And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
It’s another month and welcome to today’s Hour of Restoration. You must understand that it is not your fault to be born into a poor family, but it will be your fault to live and die poor. It is not your fault to be born into a family of illiterates, but it will be your fault to die an illiterate. It is never your fault to be born into a family with nothing but it will be your fault to also die and leave your children with nothing. That is why you must rewrite the storyline in your time.
In today’s scripture, Jesus was born a carpenter but he didn’t die as a carpenter. He was born into a family with no reputation, but He rewrote the story. Hear what the people said, “Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James…” It means they knew his beginning but He changed the story. They knew him as nobody but He rewrote the story. Jesus never lived and die as nobody. He changed the storyline in his family.
That is why no matter the family you are from, you have to make up your mind to rewrite the story. People may know your beginning but they can’t predict your ending. Your ending is in your hands to write. Don’t settle where you are now! Don’t be comfortable where you are now! Don’t sit down and follow the same storyline in the family. Sit up and rewrite your own story. You cannot die a commoner. You cannot live and die as a pauper. You have a great destiny and your family background is not a problem. Jesus had the greatest destiny but He was born in a manger and as a carpenter. Sit up today and rewrite the story. Pray Now

2. I refuse to live and die poor. Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask for the Grace to rewrite the storyline in my family.
