You Are Not Redeemed To Beg
*Basic Scripture: Luke 16:19-22*
_And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumps which fell from the rich man’s table…_
Welcome to today’s devotional! You must understand that every redeemed of the Lord is ordained to be a helper and not a beggar. God did not redeem you to beg. He didn’t call you and save you so you beg before you eat. God wish for you is to prosper and not to be a beggar. _“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper…”_ (3 John 1:2). You must understand that no matter what, you cannot be a beggar.
In today’s scripture, Lazarus was said to be a beggar, and his wish was to feed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table, and even the dogs came and licked his sores. But this man was a believer. What an error! He made this error and lived as a beggar because of his desire. _“And desiring to be fed with the crumps which fell from the rich man’s table…”_ He could have desired for good thing but his desire was to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Remember the Lord will always grant you the desire of your heart. _“… and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart”_ (Psalm 37:4).
Many believers are like that today. They are living as beggars, asking money and support from people without desiring for them also to give out money. Stop living as a beggar. Silver and gold are for your Father. How can your Father be rich and you be poor. You are not permitted to be a beggar. You are destined for greatness. Renew your mind from today and walk in dominion. No matter the economy in the jungle, the Lion will never eat grass. Begging is not an option in your life from today. You must also desire to give to others. You must desire for good things. *Pray Now.*
