Talim island is located at Laguna de Bay, under the municipality of Binangonan. The Island has 28 barangays in total, some of these are Janosa, Kaytome, Gulod, Sapang, Malacaban, Pinagdilawan, Ginoong Sanay, Talim, Kinagatan, Rayap, Buhangin, Bangad, Kinagatan, Binitagan, Bombong, Kasile, Pipindan and more.
They also have here some tourist attraction, there is the Mount Tagapo that is 1,437 ft. tall. You can do trekking here, and climb until reached the top, and when you're already at the top of the mountain, you'll be amazed by the beautiful view of the Island. You can see the whole island there and also the fishponds located on Manila de Bay.
All the barangays here has their own beautiful places to visit, just like in barangay Navotas, you can go there visit the what so-called "over-looking", that is a grass field and some rock formed by time, and here is where you can see the very beautiful view of the windmills in Pililia, Rizal. You can also see some barangays near barangay Navotas. Next is in barangay Bangad, there is what they called "ping-as" here you can see the view of Manila de Bay and the fish ponds, this is also the perfect place to watch the sunset. There's also some beautiful flowers and some aloe vera plants. These places that are mentioned are often the location for photographies.
Next is the events celebrated in Talim Island. Fiestas, the most awaited fiesta celebrated here in island is barangay Janosa and Malacaban's because there is always an water procession or what is known "Pagoda". That is a procession on the lake, boats decorated and locals joining the procession are dressed according to their chosen color per barangay.
Another event celebrated here is Holy Week. From Monday to wednesday is the preparation for the big event that will happen on the last day- Sunday. Every thursday to Friday is the "pabasa" the devotees are reading the Passion of the Christ. Some of the locals are assigned to prepare foods to be given to the people living in barangay. So here's the happenings in Black Sunday, the event is starting every 3:00 am in the morning, the procession also known here as "salubungan" the name is from the process of the procession that is the boy and girl chosen to perform "was-was" will meet outside the church and go straight to the covered court and the event will start, and end around 8:00 am.
