Good day sunshines!

It is my first ever post and I hope you will like it.

Ethics vs. Morality

Ethics refers to values, principles, purpose, and the existent of "what should I do," Society says this is the right thing or good thing to do. Ethics =Ethos, meaning character.

Morality, on the other hand, refers to values, principles, beliefs customs. They are pressure to conform to social, moral norms. Example of this is Christianity, Buddhism, and Stoicism. The existent of "how should I live" and who I believe. This inherits from family, community, and culture. It is a matter of habit without thinking.

An example of this:

In the medical field, a doctor may not euthanize a patient even at the patient's request, as per ethical standards for health professionals. However, the same doctor may personally believe in a patient's right to die as per the doctor's morality.

Ethics vs. Culture

Culture is referring to the outlook, attitudes, values, goals, and practices shared by a group of people or community. Ethics are the set of moral principle that guides a person behavior. Ethics can be applied to all aspects of conduct, and it is important to the actions of individuals, groups, and organization.

Ethics vs. Law

Law is the formal rule of a state of how we behave, what we must do or not do. The compliance of following the authorities not to get jailed or not having a specific punishment. It is a rule of an enforceable standard of behavior. Law can be just or unjust, subject to ethical assessment. On the other hand, ethics don't have punishment, yet it is made to help people decide what is right or wrong and how to act.

An example of this:

You don't have gold to hospitalize your mother, and you intended to rob money at your work. In the eyes of a legislator or law, you will get punished if you will get caught, but in your ethical perspective, the reasoning makes you a hero because of saving your mother's life.
