Rumors circulating around Japan, about the reason behind the One Piece's hiatus. And now it's confirmed, the  release of manga One Piece Chapter 992 will be delayed until October 16. Thus, the release date will be move on October 17. The delay was due to sudden illness of the manga's author, Eiichiro Oda.

Here's the official statement from the Shonen Jump Editorial Department,

"To our readers. Thank you for reading ONE PIECE.

ONE PIECE will be on break in this issue due to the author’s sudden illness.

We are very sorry to all the readers who are looking foward to it.

Although ONE PIECE is mentioned in this memo, it not published in this issue, the correction was not in time due to the printing process. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The continuation is scheduled to resume with an opening colour page from WSJ#46 (to be released on October 17).

We look foward to your continued support of ONE PIECE.

Although, the statement didn't disclose what the author's illness is, but the Weekly Shonen Jump tweeted that the author had already recovered from it. He will then resume serialization in WSJ issue #46.

Wano Arc battle.

The battle in Onigashima continues to escalate between The Beast Pirate headed by one of the four emperor(Yonkou), Kaido the Beast, and Nine Red Scabbards: Kinemon, Kiku, Raizu, Denjiro, Izo, Ashura Doji, Kawamatsu, Nekomamushi, and Inuarashi. Kaido was so furious after the two minks, in sulong form, defeated Jack the Drought. He tried to blast them with is all might, but Kinemon surprisingly slash through it and split the blast. The next part is yet to unravel, and we, the fans, will have to wait until October 17, so stay tuned.
