[ a prose by Julsijuls ] "but death lives within." I don't lay in a casket, surrounded with people who weep and sob as I slowly descend the ground. I did not die in such a way that I'll me mourned. I did not rot, no flowers were thrown down at me, and I do not cause wet pillows every night. My skin did not shrivel up, but it did turn pale. How could it not when the sun could not penetrate the curtains in my room? My heart did not stop beating—in fact it is erratically pumping in my chest, as if it is running away from the loneliness I swallowed up. Running away from the sticky fingers of pain I refuse to let out of me. I place my palm against my chest, and yes I am alive. I did not die, but death lingers around. I breathe, shallow, ragged. But I did not die. I am here, in an old shirt with coffee stains, seating in a living room full of laughter. But death lives within. #Writing #litetature #originalcontent Image from https://pin.it/mYRSH4l
