Reasons to believe in God (Part 2)

The wonders of nature and the entire cosmos prove the existence of a wise creator who also created mankind and place them on this Earth to inhabit.

In this second part of the lesson, "Reasons to believe in God" we present biblical proof and evidence on how God's creations demonstrate an intelligent creator and the reason why many people believe in God.

An understanding mind must believe that there's a divine being who designed the universe and fashioned our being. That designer is who the Bible introduces to us as the Almighty and powerful God.

The universe and the things in it, the trees, the animals, the sea and all that dwell in it, the birds, and humans are all evidence of the existence of God. These are what everyone can see, so no man has an excuse to not believe in God. Let's see what the Bible has to say in Romans 1:19-20.

"Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse."

From the scripture above, it's clear that the invisibility of God is being understood by the things which he has created. The things that are made are enough for us to understand God's eternal power and Godhead, and prove that there God.

There's a God who made the universe and the planetary bodies. The moon, sun, and stars in their billions of galaxies did not just come into being from nowhere or by themselves. Somebody designed them and gave them their habitation.

The human body was designed to live on Earth. This is not an accident or an experimental incident. Or else, why is it not on Mars or Jupiter? There's somebody who understands the human body and the perfect environment that it can live in and that person cannot be anyone else except the creator. The one who designed our being also prepare a dwelling place where our body can survive in.

The air that we breathe in and the food that we need to survive were all prepared to be available for us in a dwelling place that we will live in. The one who created us knew that the Earth is the perfect place for us and hence he placed us here. Everything around us is evidence that there's God. So, those who don't believe in God are fools.

Brother Eli told a story about two scientists who have different beliefs about God's existence and how one was able to intelligently prove to the other that there's God.

While the first believe in the existence of God, the friend doesn't believe God exist. Their difference in belief led to arguments between them. The one who believes in God couldn't convince the friend that there's God.

The story has it that after a long time, the scientists who believe in God took small balls of different sizes, a ping pong ball, and a basketball, and assembled the balls in his laboratory. He made a model of the solar system and then took a basketball to represent the Sun and a ping pong ball to represent the Earth.

Furthermore, he took a marble to represent the moon and hung it. Also, he made a model of the solar system and hung them by using strings in his laboratory. Now when his friend who does not believe in God came, he showed him the model of the solar system, then the scientists who do not believe in God asked who made this solar system in your laboratory.

The scientists who believed in God said to his friend, "oh it just came like that nobody made it!" To that, the scientists who do not believe in God said, "oh you are fooling me, how can this be here in your laboratory when nobody put them there. There must be somebody who put them there". 

Then the scientists who believe in God said, "if these little Marbles and balls as you have said cannot be here if there is nobody who put them here, much so the real solar system cannot exist if nobody puts them there, and the person who put them there is God"

From that time on, the scientist who could not believe in God now believed in God because of what the other scientist has done to prove it. It is logical if you cannot believe that the artificial solar system model was put in the laboratory by nobody,  much more so you must not believe that the real solar system will not be there if nobody put them there.

There must be somebody who put them there, the Stars, the Sun, the moon, the galaxies, and the solar system must be created by someone, and that person is God. These are enough reasons for people to believe in God

There's no excuse for anyone not to believe that there's God because the things that are created reveal the power behind their creation which is the invincible God. Anyone who still doesn't believe could well be regarded as a fool who doesn't use his or her brain.
