How can we be sure we are going to heaven?
If we want to make sure that we are going to heaven when we die, we must follow the way to heaven, which is through the Lord Jesus Christ. Said Brother Eli Soriano.
But how do we know that we are doing this correctly? This is an important question to consider, as it will determine our eternal destination. Thankfully, the Bible provides us with the answer. We must accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and live our lives according to His teachings. When we do this, we can be sure that we will be welcomed into heaven when we die.
The journey to heaven starts here. Our life on Earth is the starting point of a journey that will take us either to heaven or hell. These are the only two destinations in eternity: going to heaven to live peacefully and happily with God or going to hell to be punished by satan and his cohorts. We must choose for ourselves, and it is up to us to decide which destination we will reach.
God has given us the freedom to choose between two paths in life: the path of life and the path of death, the path of blessings, and the path of curses. This is made clear in Deuteronomy 30:19, which states...
"I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing:"
We must choose carefully and wisely, as the consequences of our choices will determine our future. We must strive to follow the path of life and blessings, for it is the path that leads to true joy and fulfillment.
We have the right to choose for ourselves and make decisions of our free will. The journey to heaven or hell starts in this life, so how can we be sure that we are going to heaven? The answer is found in John 14:6, where the Lord Jesus Christ says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” He is the only way to heaven, and there is no other way.
If we want to go to heaven and be sure that we are going there, the only way is through the Lord Jesus Christ. How can we reach heaven through Him? Colossians 2:6-7 gives us the answer. Let's read.
Colossians 2:6-7 (KJV) As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
We must walk in Him, for He is the way. Verse 7 says that we must walk in His teachings, as we have been taught. Therefore, if we want to go to heaven, we must follow the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ and walk in His ways.
The teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ are important for us to follow to reach our ultimate goal of heaven. We must take His teachings to heart and strive to live our lives by them. Walking on His teachings does not mean that we walk on Him literally. Instead, it means that we must strive to live our lives in a way that is consistent with His teachings. This is the only way to ensure that we are on the right path and that we will eventually reach our destination. We must strive to follow His teachings every day, and make sure that we are living our lives in the way that pleases Him.
Following Christ is the only way to reach heaven. Even if it is a difficult path and we may feel discomfort in life, we must trust in God and go wherever the Lord directs us. John 12:26 says...
" If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour."
By following Christ and serving Him, we will be honored by God and will reach our destination of heaven.
Following Christ is not a difficult task. When He said, "Do not go to gambling houses," you need to obey and stay away from these places. Similarly, when He said "Thou shall not commit adultery," you are required to stay faithful to your partner and not be seen in a motel with someone else. To follow Christ means to love your partner and not give in to the lust of the flesh. If you are a servant of Christ, you must follow Him wherever He goes, whatever He wants you to do, and love your partner unconditionally.
Loving your husband is also so easy. When you said "I do" on your wedding day, you committed to each other to stay together through good times and bad, through sickness and health, and until death do you part. As a Christian woman, you must honor your husband, not be unfaithful, and follow the teachings of the Bible. If you follow Christ, you will have a happy marriage and end your journey in heaven.
