Our Silent Movie

Sometimes I wonder if life wouldn't be easier with captions like in silent films,

We could just get on with living and resort solely to our actions to define us,

And when they insert the speach they'll paraphrase and lots might be sadly lost,

But how much would we really miss all the in between stuff that causes a fuss?

And the leads are gorgeous and the cameras are rolling and none of it real,

If we make a mess of it all don't worry they can cut it out to then edit the reel,

We won't have a script we'll just wing it as fate has habit of messing it up at will,

I don't care if we dare do our own thing cos it's our own lives and our time to fill.
