(I) Attempt past question papers. This will help you to read the mind of the examiner and understand the marking scheme. In any school setting, be it high school or college, previous examination questions can serve as reference to a current exam. The layout and even some or most questions will likely come out from previous examinations.
(II) Understand the layout of the examination. Observe how the questions are structured from the topics.
(III) Focus on what you don’t know. You don’t need to waste time on what you already know but can perform a brief revision on it. Spend more time on the topics you find difficult

Forming acronym for example, the MR NIGER D acronym tells us about the characteristics of living organisms which denotes: Movement, Respiration, Nutrition, Irritability, Growth, Excretion, Reproduction and Death. (VII) Using the SQ3R method: The SQ3R is an efficient method for preparing for examination which has helped many students including myself. The acronym stands for: Survey, Question, Read, Review and Revise. It's a stepwise procedure for proper preparing for an examination.
First, you Survey. It starts by taking a topic you intend to read and glance through it. You then ask yourself some questions on it, that what the Question has to do. After this, there's definitely going to be some parts you can answer, so you read it properly now, by spending sufficient time to understand it. Review what you've read again and Revise them afterwards by asking yourself more questions on it.
