A mill or windmill is a building that serves as a machine that runs through the air. It can serve as a grain mill in the field, a water pump or it can also change the kinetic characteristics of wind power and make it electricity with the help of a generator. The latter is the type of mills built in Bangui Municipality, Northern Ilokos, Philippines. Flaxes are a source of renewable energy and in addition help reduce greenhouse gases in the atmosphere due to their non-use of fossil fuel and NorthWind also saves on fossil fuel so it charges less electricity. than other IPPs.

On Mena Crisologo Street in the city's Mestizo District are about 150 stone houses. They show the skill of Filipino artists before the era of modern materials and technology in building construction. Only the stone house survived the earthquakes and typhoons that frequently visited the Ilocos region. Its roof is made of brick while the second floor and the floor are made of wood. Many of them are in good condition and some have been turned into hotels, museums, souvenir shops, eateries or bars.

3. Baluarte

Baluarte is a ten-minute drive from Vigan City. It is owned by Ilocos Sur Governor Luis β€œChavit” Singson and is sometimes called Chavit Fortess. Unlike other zoos, Baluarte is a wildlife sanctuary dedicated to overseeing the education, conservation and protection of endangered species and wildlife. Visitors to Baluarte are guaranteed to rediscover life among animals in a unique and entertaining way through first-hand experience. In fact, one can come and play with the animals inside Baluarte. It is so interactive that guests can feed them, pet them, whistle at them and even howl at them.

4. Longganisa Festival

The Longganisa Festival in Vigan is celebrated in January every year.

Here you will find activities related and themed Longganisang Vigan.

It is also used to launch projects that will help sell Longganisang Vigan, not only domestically but also overseas.

Churches built during the Spanish period are some of the favorite foreigners of devotees and tourists in Ilocos Norte.

One of these is more than 400 years of St. John the Baptist Church in the town of Badoc.

This is the home of the image of La Virgen Milagrosa de Badoc found floating in the sea on the boundary of Badoc and Sinait, Ilocos Sur.

"With the influx of pilgrims coming here, you can see their deep faith ... They know many blessings and miracles [they] will receive," said parish priest Fr. Freddie Astudillo.

The canonical coronation is set for May 31 at La Virgen Milagrosa de Badoc, the patron saint of Ilocos Norte. Here the Catholic Church officially recognizes, through a Papal bull and the giving of a crown, an image that is sworn in a place.

Tourists also flock to St. John's all year round. Augustine Church in Paoay, the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in the province.

In 1694 the Augustinian priests built the church in a style of a mixture of gothic, baroque, and oriental designs.

Augustine priests also built the Immaculate Conception Church in Batac City in 1586 and San Nicolas De Tolentino in the town of San Nicolas in 1584.

In the town of Bacarra, dubbed the "Vatican town of the Philippines," St. Andrew the Apostle Church built in 1593.

The church bell tower is unique in that it does not have a semicircular dome or roof. It was destroyed by earthquakes in 1931 and 1983.

Next to the church is a museum and tunnel that priests used to walk to the altar of the church.

"Until now they are trying to develop [the tunnel] so that tourists can go or they [can] go inside," said Marie Ann Martin, tourism staff in Bacarra.

The Church of Sta. Monica in Sarrat built in 1779. It is said to be the longest aisle of all church aisles in the country, at a length of 137 meters.

It is also good to visit St. Joseph Church in Dingras town which opened in 2014.

The church that was destroyed in 1710 has been under construction for more than two decades.

It was restored to its original appearance and the bricks attached to it came directly from the damaged structure of the church.

"Restoration is a work of love and it is a journey of faith for the people ... The restoration is a manifestation of how God loves this place," said parish priest Fr. Jojo Saturnino.
