Equality or Justice

Equality vs. Justice

In most democracies in the world, basic human rights are sought to be protected, and the state strives to provide equality in matters of life, liberty and happiness. The concept of equality of all is based on the premise that all human beings are created equal by God and that the state should not discriminate between people based on the perceived differences in religion, gender, skin color , cast and creed. However, there is a similar concept of equality that is very similar to the concept of equality even though there are subtle differences between the two. The fair requires the state to be given to an individual according to what he or she deserves and not based on the number of heads. The concept of fairness requires that people be treated fairly and their contributions and be equal. Let’s look at the concepts of equality and fairness to show their difference.

Equality

Let’s start from our own home. If you have two children, and one of them is a newborn, can you treat both children with the concept of equality? No, certainly not. While the baby has a wide range of requirements that can include story books and poems in addition to educational toys, the needs of a newborn are very different and remain confined to most feeding. This means that it is difficult for children to be treated equally in a family because they belong to different ages that differ from their demands. In one class, even all children of the same age, a teacher uses the concept of equality more often than the concept of equality.

In a society, not all sections are equally orderly or advanced at the same level. It requires the state to adopt the concept of fairness in keeping the backward of a certain class of people, be it social or financial defenses. There may be educational behind it. This inequality requires that the government treat the different cross-sections of society differently to let them all thrive at a particular stage.

Equality is a concept that prohibits a government from discriminating between people based on their religion, caste and creed, gender etc., so, there is no resentment among people, and they feel that if both they are treated by the government. The rule of law is such an example of equality where the law is the same for everyone, rich or poor. Giving everyone the same opportunities to be formed is a powerful incident of equality. While this is important, despite having equal opportunity or opportunity, not all individuals improve their rank or status in life at the same level.

Justice

It carries the concept of fairness in light. Can you treat a healthy individual with a blind or lame person, on the same foot? No, even if the state is not recognizable on the basis of the noticeable shortcoming of the disabled individual, the concept of fairness is required to give him or her preference for treatment because of his or her limitations.

For example, he may be given reservations in educational institutions and this reservation may still be extended to jobs in industries. Fairness implies fairness, and does not stick to the concept of equality though, some people may lack opportunities and yet still share resources equally.
