Baguio is the “Summer Capital” of the Philippines located in the province of Benguet. It is located on a plateau with a height of 1,520 meters.

It has an average temperature of 18 degrees Celsius so tourists often visit it because of its nice climate.

The cold climate of the city is the main attraction for foreign and local Filipino people to visit it especially during the summer.

Indigenous people from various ethnic groups first called Baguio "Kafagway", the current name is said to be derived from the plant "bagiw".

The Spanish conquerors went to Baguio to search for gold, silver, and copper mines.

When the Americans took over the Philippines, they established the first civil government on June 1, 1903.

There are three main roads to the city, namely Naguilian Highway, Marcos Highway, and Kennon Road. The main thoroughfare within the city is Session Road.

Baguio City is located on the Northern Island of Luzon. It is surrounded by the province of Benguet. According to my research, it was founded by the Americans in 1900 as a summer vacation in an Ibaloi village formerly known as Kafagway. The city was made "Summer Capital" on June 1, 1903 by the "Philippine Commission" and declared a city by the "Philippine Assembly" on September 1, 1909. The name Baguio is derived from the word Ibaloi which means love. say 'moss'. The city is estimated to be approximately 1500 meters (5100 feet) high for the growth and proliferation of pine and flowering plants. One of the reasons I think Baguio is not missing from the list of Filipinos and tourists on their vacation list is because of its unique climate, whether it is summer or rainy season, the air here is still cold so I want to- most of us like to visit it.
