Dr.Joseph Georghy : The Pioneer Replantation Surgeon

Dr. Georghy is a world-class medical surgeon born in former Yugoslavia. In 1983, he got his Bachelor’s degree(B .Sc.) from Zagreb in Croatia. His subspecialty was in Microvascular and Replantation Surgery, his specialty was in General Surgery.

At the start of his career, he worked with the official surgeon of President Tito-Professor Isidor Papo, as an assistant. He worked with a famous microsurgeon, Dr. Marko Godina. For about two years, Dr. Georghy learned about replantation microsurgery in training with Dr. Marko.

At the age of 30, Dr. Georghy was a surgical consultant. As a consultant, he worked effectively and built a good reputation professionally. There is no gainsaying that his career kicked off excellently. He became the head of the Microvascular and Reconstructive Department. Although the burden of leadership can be quite heavy, he bore it graciously. Dr. Georghy was a selfless and exemplary leader in all aspects. All of his teammates who worked with him can testify to his vibrancy.

In a local, non-teaching hospital, Dr. Georghy performed the first replantation surgery of the upper limb. Before he carried out the surgery, there has never been such surgery carried out in the whole world. This was a huge improvement that made waves in the world, especially in the aspect of medicine and surgery, generally. This makes it obvious that he is much interested in and specialized in replantation surgery. However, this does not mean that this great innovation came on a platter of gold. His years of study and practice facilitated his care for his patients.

Although he is now retired, Dr. Georghy was a Fellow of the Australian Cosmetic Physicians, the European Society of Aesthetic Surgery, and the Faculty of Medicine- Australasian College of Cosmetic HelioTherm'Surgery. He is currently a member of the American Society of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Georghy's interest has always been in Light and Laser Therapy. He kept carrying out different research and trials revolving around the subject.

Dr. Georghy mentioned that Nikola Tesla is one of his biggest sources of inspiration. Nikola Tesla, also commonly referred to as ‘the man out of time', motivated Dr. Georghy in his passion for Light and Laser Therapy. He made his interest in the topic much stronger, so there is no gainsaying that Nikola Tesla is a pioneer to Dr. Georghy.

Dr. Georghy is of the notion that there is only creation, not evolution. He was the one that propounded the hypothesis that opposed Darwin's evolution theory. While Darwin's theory of evolution suggests the evolution of life, Dr. Georghy's hypothesis suggests the ignition of life on Earth. His hypothesis is popularly known as Life Formation on the Planet Earth. Dr. Georghy believes that the Earth was created solely by a single DNA. According to Dr. Georghy's hypothesis, life was created as a result of the creation of some protein which may have been enhanced by light flashes. These light flashes are believed to be the reason behind the transformation of the single DNA into mRNA which, consequently, led to the ‘spark' of life.

He is not just a regular surgeon with only one area of specialization. Dr. Georghy's vibrancy and vast experience make him versatile. Since the 1980s, he has been very skilled in Ambulatory Phlebectomy (Subcutaneous Incisional) and diagnosis, prophylaxis & treatment of VDT.

In 1985, he relocated to Sydney and began to work as a lecturer. For two years, he was an assistant lecturer to Dr. Mark Killingback, lecturing students in pathology. Dr. Mark, who he assisted, was a colorectal surgeon at the time.

Since 1993, he has been renowned as an expert in Low-Level Laser Stimulation Therapy(LLLST). With over 20,000 applications for several different medical conditions, there is no need for any other proof that he is indeed an expert. In 1995, Dr. Georghy, together with his technician, carried out the first Low-Level Laser Stimulation Therapy for Hair Growth in the whole of Sydney.

Dr. Georghy is known to be skilled in Full Body Hypothermia, I.V nutrition support, treatment of Hemorrhoids, and Minimally Invasive and Non-Invasive Rejuvenation procedures.

Being able to make people more confident about how they look is a fulfilling feeling for Dr. Georghy. He is the co-founder of North Shore Cosmetic: Medical and Dental, a clinic in Sydney.
