People in the West have been riveted to their TV, computer, and phone screens since Russian troops entered Ukraine on February 24, absorbing news on the war and publishing their reactions online. As the war in Ukraine enters its second month, it's clearer than ever that our corporate and social media ecosystems have failed to provide us with the tools we need to critically navigate the constant militaristic propaganda, nor have they provided many options for people to do anything other than watch and post. We have an open debate about how Western media has failed to educate us to respond productively to war, and how independent media may and must be in this special panel, which was taped in the TRNN studio on Wednesday, March 16.
