What a beautiful weekend set apart,
For humanity to walk in His path,
These He consecrated that we may not depart,
From His suffering and His fast.
Oh! Precious weekend of grace,
In you the God-Man was disgraced,
With His cross, He searched and traced,
Salvation for humanity's fallen race.
The race ruined by Adam's fault,
When the devil out of envy fought,
To change the first Man's thought,
And deviate him from God's fount.
The first Adam ate from the Tree of shame,
Because he wanted knowledge and fame,
In disobedience, he fell to that beast untamed,
He never knew he was played a game.
God banished him with sword,
His name erased as God's password,
His kingly and priestly cord,
Were retrieved and kept for The Word.
In remembrance of His vows to humans,
That The Seed of The Woman,
Will crush and trample Satan,
God delivered man from deadly caravan.
He sent us The Light of the world,
His mission is to bring man forward,
From sin, shame and mud,
And break every barrier and wall.
In mounting the wood of the cross,
He blew the devil just like dross,
Gave His Body and Blood as Drugs,
To heal humanity from sickness and curse.
He established His Priesthood,
Became the Victim and the Wood,
Called many to share in His Brotherhood,
Hence, we are amalgamated into His Sainthood.
Just as the food of a Tree made man drown,
Brought us from Paradise right down,
So, from the same Tree He gave us crown,
That we may never weep and frown.
The same way man was driven,
With swords out of Eden,
The same way Christ suffered and died in a garden,
To heal our fallen race from deadly burden.
Pierced wath a sharp Lance,
Water and Blood poured in abundance,
Immediately creatures received clearance,
To boldly approach Christ in His Monstrance.
This water represents water of regeneration,
The Blood, stands for food and drink for our generation,
The first Adam's fruit brought death and condemnation,
The Redemptive Adam restores us to dominion and exaltation.
The blood of bulls and goats,
Could not Savage man from Adam's boat,
The Lamb came and unveiled our sinful coat,
And left us His Sacramental Host.
After crying aloud like bell,
He descended into hell,
To free disobedient souls from cell,
Now we are no longer caged but well.
After the destruction of His Body; The Temple,
He rose and became the world's candle,
Became Christianity's cradle,
Gave us the New Testament Bible.
Now it seems we are mourning,
Everyone is seriously groaning,
Due to His suffering and scourging,
On Easter Sunday His Light will shine as morning.
Together with Joseph and Mary,
The Lord invites so many,
To share in His Banquet and Merry,
There is enough to make us happy.
Let the Second Eve receive our prayers in Her arms,
She who stood by the Second Adam,
Even when all thought He was damned,
She remained with Her Son to the end of time.
Continue to intercede for us Mother Most Blessed,
Pray that we may never be infested,
With the poison of the poisonous beast,
But inherit and share God's eternal feast.
I WISH YOU ALL A BLISSFUL WEEKEND
