It took four years.

The famous Danish architect Bjarke Ingels showed in the latest issue of Architectural Digest how you can turn a large old ferry into a comfortable home for the whole family.

Ingels is the author of many buildings, not only in his homeland, but all over the world from the USA to China. He has created such famous projects as the World Trade Center 2 in New York and the Danish pavilion at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. In 2016, the Times magazine included Ingels in the list of "100 most influential people in the world".

In 2016, Bjarke and his wife Ruth Otero, also an architect, bought a broken Norwegian ship over 38 meters long and weighing 450 tons. The ship was moored in Copenhagen and repairs began. Now that the work is complete, the houseboat of the couple and their two-year-old son Darwin is the epitome of style.

In the interior and details, the architect tried to achieve symmetry. And the couple designed the playroom for their son in the spirit of a futuristic spaceship.
