Being there through Good Times and Bad Times

Something that shines bright for Its absence so much in these days is loyalty, the strong support that a person has towards another, through the good times and the bad times. This doesn't mean that both parts have to always agree, though that even If they aren't there at all moments, they always give their encouragement when things are going good and provide their help through bad situations, not letting disagreements break a strong bond. When you see the high rate of divorces nowadays (which is 24 per 1000 persons for adults aged 25-39 and 21 per 1000 for ages 40-49) and the amount of so called "friends" who always flip on each other on social media, It is easy to feel pessimistic with regards to how things are going. That's why in this article I will talk about the value of loyalty in all kinds of human relationships, all so you can have a better relationship with your community, friends and people who you trust, knowing that you have each other's back. Let's begin:

Why so many people fail to be loyal

When I'm saying that divorces are at alarming numbers for people at young ages nowadays I'm not saying that you shouldn't correct the mistakes you might have made and stick to an abusive partner or someone who cheats on you. What I'm trying to say is that there's an important component for any type of relationship to work and that is maturity, which is essentialy the ability to take accountability for your own person and those who are close to you, something that people at young ages tend to lack when compared with middle aged adults. Alongside this a fear of commitment at early stages of your life can scare anyone and this is not something bad, as you should always try and meet new people before settling for the best type of people you can get for the further stages of your life.

When It comes to friends, which is something that changes throughout our whole lives due to changes in our interests, our geographical areas and our goals, this is something that is also to be found in later stages of life, where It is stated that people meet their best friends, those who they will share longer relationships with, after they reach their 30s.

How can I meet Loyal People?

Sadly, this isn't something as easy as most people would like to make It seem, as you'll have to meet a lot of people and get to know them better to realize If they are as reliable as you would like when things get rough. That said, you can identify someone as a potentially loyal person If:

  • They are faithful to they word.

  • They have genuine interest in other people.

  • They seek out the best not only for themselves, but also for other people.

  • They are responsible.

The only way that you can get to the top is by meeting people who will support you along the way, that's why you should always keep the people you surround yourself with as one of your main priorities in life.

I hope that this article could have been of use to you, showing you why the value of being loyal has become so scarce nowadays and what you should do If you find that people around you aren't loyal, all so you can make the quality of the people you surround yourself with much better. Thank you for your support and good luck!
