With the rising demands of life, we find ourselves in a constant hurry about how to get the most things done and also have time to check our phones, which leaves us at the end with less and less hours to dedicate to something which is really important to us and that we sometimes can forget is a human need, sleep. In this little article I'll talk about the many benefitial effects that a good night of sleep (7-9 hours for adults) can bring, not only in a physical though in a mental way. Let's begin by showcasing Its most obvious effects:


Having more energy:

Probably the most noticeable effect of them all. An optimal rest lets the body segregate and suppress hormones that help in different areas of our system, such as testosterone/strogens, melatonin and growth hormone, that permits us to feel refreshed the next morning. It also lets us process the information that was acquired during our state of wakefulness. Bothof these factors will make for a great recuperation.

Better Mood:

I'm sure that you're more than used to days where your animic state is just on the floor, getting touchy over everything and feeling way more prone to negative emotions. Well, these days might have a direct correlation with the amount of hours you slept the previous night. Rest for enough hours makes up for more than a difference, making you feel more positive, happy and able to control your own emotions and reactions.

Increased Focus:

It's no surprise that after a good night's sleep your capacity to concentrate will be in a natural high level, making easier for you the task of focusing your mind to whatever task you want to pay attention to.
