Stop listening to the news and listen to yourself for a minute.

More than in any other period of human existence, we find ourselves overwhelmed by all the problems and inconvenients we're facing, causing us a lot of distress because of the clogged mess we're in. However, 9 times out of 10 you'll realize that most of the things you're seeing as a burden to carry are not really that important, and that all the feelings of anxiety they cause you are not generated by some extrinsic situation, though by your mind, which aggravates those matters. That's why in this article I will show you many of the things that might be causing you to think that your life and your surroundings are a living hell when in fact they're quite the opposite all so you can begin to "filter" what's going on in your day and focus on what's really important. Let's begin:

Negative reinforcement by new outlets

When we scroll in our feeds and seek for news, what are the first things that catch our glimpse? those that tell us about something horrendous that happened just yesterday or will happen in the next days. Well, they might be true and are really disheartening, though there's a fact you have to take into account: That most of the times, they're not affecting you or the ones you love directly and that they are exaggerated in one way or another in order to get you to click on them. If you want to take out part of the headaches you might suffering day to day, you should consider reducing considerably the time you spend searching for news.

Not being able to say no

A great amount of people are agreeable by nature, however, this doesn't mean that you should say yes to everything they ask you for, as this can be a quick path to living your life for others, even when you don't want to. If you don't think that what your boss is asking you to do is really productive for the company or you don't want to attend a particular metting, you should just decline in a polite manner and explain your reasons, all so you can go back and focus on what really matters and will bring the best results.

Overthinking

Probably the biggest of them all. There's a brief period of time that can represent a living hell between you deciding to do something and you actually doing It, which will be accompanied by a lot of doubts and what Ifs about the quality of the final product and all the scenarios in which you could fail. This can be a real trouble, and the only solution to this problem is to act without thinking or giving the mind a chance to generate complaints about It. Once you get at It, then It will be much more smoother as you'll find out that your brain will adapt and help you perform that particular task.

I hope that this article could have been of use to you, portraying some of the things that might be keeping you an anxious mess, all so you can recognize and ideate solutions to get over them and become a better version of yourself, one that doesn't get caught by all the tasks that he has to do in a particular day. Thank you for your support and good luck!
