Women's education

As the present world enters the 21st century, women are an essential partner in the social, economic, political and cultural transformation. But it is not possible for a woman who has fallen behind in the darkness of ignorance to play that expected role. So today there is a demand for women's education. At one time women were predominant in the matriarchal society. That is why educated women are seen in ancient Hindu Buddhist literature. Later, when the dominance of men in social life was established, women became inter-city dwellers. In modern times, women's rights and unique roles are recognized in the West. Western education - through the English, the carriers of culture, women in this country also get the opportunity to enter the field of education. In undivided Bengal, the closed door of women's education and women's progress opens. But even then the obstacles in the way of formal education of Muslim women in Bangladesh have not been removed. Religious prejudice has become an obstacle there. Begum Raekeya played a leading role in overcoming that obstacle and bringing Muslim women into the field of education. Gradually Bengali Muslim women started stepping on the path of modern education. After the independence of the country, a new impetus was created in the national life and the democratic consciousness was greatly expanded. The basic rights of men and women are recognized in the society. The women's movement spread in the country. In the context of our connection with the women's liberation movement around the world, women continue to come forward at various levels of life and livelihood. As a result, competition with men in the field of education created a new impetus in women's society. Now there is no village in Bangladesh where educated or semi-educated women cannot be found. Despite significant progress in the field of women's education, the number of educated women in our country is only 26 percent. A large number of women have not yet been able to overcome the darkness of superstition and ignorance. Religious prejudice and bigotry are the main reasons for women's education in our country. Obstacles. The tightness of the screen in particular is still a big hurdle. In addition, the deteriorating law and order situation, lack of social security and extreme poverty are obstacles to women's education. Most importantly, we do not have the huge initiatives, planning and institutional infrastructure needed to bring a large number of women into the world of formal education. In order for the women to get the opportunity of education by overcoming the obstacles, there is a need for a special type of education plan in addition to the conventional ones. In that case, it is necessary to take various steps like radio, TV, etc., entertainment and career oriented education programs. About 80 percent of illiterate women live in villages. Therefore, it is necessary to implement these programs in a coordinated and integrated manner with the rural society and environmental development programs. With these aspects in mind, the following steps can be taken to expand women's education:

1. Ensuring social security so that school going students can travel to their institution without any hindrance.

2. Establish six schools at the village level to ensure primary education for every woman, so that the distance from home to school is not too great.

3. Appropriate utilization of government stipends for the purpose of encouraging and encouraging women in education.

4. The money allocated by the government in the education sector should be used for the expansion of women's education rather than for the construction of infrastructure and in that case accountability should be given importance.

5. To build women's education movement all over the country. To effectively involve the education-loving community in this movement. Provide special employment to retired school teachers.

. Creating social motivation to move forward in the field of education by overcoming religious barriers, social prejudices, financial poverty etc. In this case, make special use of the media and various socio-cultural organizations. In the 21st century of human rights, progress and advancement, women must come forward in the role of human beings by overcoming religious barriers and social prejudices. He has to develop as an enlightened person. For ages, a woman who has not been valued in tears, in modern society, she has to stand as an educated, elegant, well-mannered person. Only then will the dignity of women return to the society. In this case, there is no alternative to women's education.
