Population is a blessing to all countries in the world. Without population a country can not fulfil. But when it grows rapidly and the people are not productive it becomes a curse for a country.
Bangladesh is a small country. Her area is so small then her population. At the present time in Bangladesh the population grows at a high rate. If the government of Bangladesh can’t stop the birth rate of the country, Bangladesh will fall in a critical problem.
Over population is a great threat for Bangladesh specially. Over population will affect the economic development and progress of our country. After a few years later our country will unable to provide the basic needs of her population and our country cannot turn into a rich country.
There are many causes of over population in our country some of these are
*Ignorance
*Superstitions
*Early marriage
*Lack of female education
Most of the people of our country are not aware about family planning. They don’t know the bad effect over population. So they don’t take any step to control the birth rate.
There are many religious superstitions in our Bangladesh. They believe that gob will feed their child. It is one of important reason for the over population.
In our village territory most of the boys and girls get married before they become matured. So they don’t know the effect of the over population.
In our Bangladesh a huge number of women are not educated. They contribute half of the population of our country. But they don’t get any scope to be educated because of our religious superstition. Uneducated women don’t know the negative effects of the over population.
To solve this problem all of us should be aware about this. To check the birth rate of our country the following measures should be taken. Our government should teach the uneducated people about the benefits of family planning and the disadvantages of over population. Our government should be stopped early marriage strictly and many types of awareness raising programmes should be taken.
