I was supposed to be making a review on episode 2 but I mistook episode 8. But anyway, I think this is the right day to do a review on episode 8. It's May 9, 2021, and the world is celebrating mother's day.
This is the last episode of Girl from Nowhere season 2, and most people have already predicted that this series may have season 3 because of its ending. I am also one of those people. But this is the other side of the story that I want to discuss with you, mother's love. It answers the question, to what extent that a mother's love can go through?
At first, I mistook this episode as Dee dee's case in which she lied and forged her daughter's illness, she had done this because she had a mental illness called Munchausen syndrome by proxy. I thought the story would go like that and will end with the mother being killed by her daughter. But, to my surprise it does not goes that way. The teacher in this episode makes her daughter because this is the only way she could protect everyone.
Her daughter has been in relying on a wheelchair for a quiet time. People in her school bullied her for having such a disability, but her teacher's treatment was even worst, she looked at her as a kind of burden.
This broke her heart and make her isolate herself. As she began being alone, she had more time to study and listed herself in biology.
She has studied and concentrated. Like she was preparing for something.
Her mother then thought that nothing was wrong but not until when she becomes well and could walk, she has used her knowledge to kill the schoolmates that bullied her as well as her teachers who look down on her.
Her mother witnessed all the gruesome crimes she has committed but because she loves her daughter so much she was the one who cleaned all the mess. Dump the bodies in the basement and soaked them with salt, because her daughter will use the body for her biology experiments. Forer to save everyone, she made her daughter sick so that she won't have the strength to commit a crime again.
But little did she know, a student has been replacing the drug with vitamins. Her daughter has known also that her mother lured her into drugs to be weak but she still acts that she didn't know everything.
But the day of revelation has come, everything has been brought to the light. The daughter had revealed herself and have tried to kill her mother. In defense, the mother also did everything to protect her daughter until the end.
As Nanno interferes with them, it was such a surprise that even her daughter dared to stab her with spare, she has managed to choose to kill her savior (Nanno) to protect her daughter.
REVIEW:
The mother's love is the most real and genuine you could ever felt, some might don't agree with this but in general, we can't deny how mothers' love made us feel safe. The dilemma that arises in this episode is, was the action of the mother is right because she is the mother? Or was it wrong because she is the mother, she must know what's the right thing to do?
The answer depends on where are we now in the phase of our life. When you are a parent and loved your children as what parents should do, you understand why the mother has done such things.
This proves that even the world will turn its back on you your mother will be there to be at your side. The first human being that will forgive us even when we don't apologize or feel sorry about what we did, it's always the mother that will forgive us.
The sad part that I have noticed in our society when the children reached adulthood and have the complete capacity to rule their life, and when things don't go and they'll end up messing their life and become miserable. The world will blame the mother. I don't know why, but it's always the mother who will receive all the blame. But they also the first ones to receive most of the pain.
We can't always blame our parents for what we become because we can heal from the past if we choose to. A pessimist view of life makes us miserable. Yes, your feelings are validated, yes you have gone hell before, and yes your parent wasn't perfect and so you are.
But you can heal and be free. You'll become a parent soon or maybe not, but wherever you could be always be the person you needed when you were a child.
If happen you become a parent, you might understand why your parents became the way they were but I hope you won't choose to make the same mistake.
