I don't have all the details about this one, but the other guy's posts made me want to share this little guy that I've had in a little tin box for a while.

I found it at a sale barn in rural Ontario a few years ago, in a small corner with WW2 memorabilia, including knives, equipment, and even a small nazi flag, though the rest of the place was just old furniture, books, and hockey cards.

The back is kind of an interesting design. Don't worry that annoying sticker's just on the case.

The Reichsmark was introduced as Germany's currency in 1924 as a replacement for the Papiermark, though there was an interim Rentenmark, which was backed by a land-owning bank before the Reichsmark was adopted. The Papiermark had been suffering massive inflation in the wake of WW1, and was exchanged for the Reichsmark at a rate of 1 = 1,000,000,000,000. The Reichsmark was then used until 1948 when it was replaced by the Deutsche Mark and the East German Mark respectively.
