We take a look into a semiaquatic rodent known as Capybara in today's journey in the animal kingdom.

The Capybara is a rodent but a large-sized one that are basically found in Central and South America. These mammals is closely related to Guinea pigs and due to their waterlogged environment, they have adapted the system of surviving both on land and in water.

The web skin between their toes is a perfect tool needed for swimming in water. The Capybara which is also known as Water Hog is incredibly heavy compared to other rodents and can live up to 10 years.

The Capybara is herbivorous in nature and mainly feed on plants and water plants for needed nutrients.

When it comes to mating, only the dominant male in the heed has the right the mate the female on heat period.
