The Barn Owl is a carnivorous bird that is found in the animalia kingdom, chordata phylum, aves class, tytonidae family, and tyto genus.
This bird ranges from 25cm to 45cm, wingspan between 75cm to 110cm, weight between 300g to 550g and hit top speed of 80km/h.
The Barn Owl is widely distributed across the globe but rarely found in desert and polar regions.
Barn Owls feed on small preys like small rodents, fishes and even birds.
An amazing feature of the Barn Owls is that they don't hoot like other Owls, the make high-pitched sounds and they sometimes hiss like snakes.
The colour of the Barn Owls varies from black, white, grey, orange to brown. They also have a distinctive feature of white heart-shaped face and large dark eyes.
