A freshwater creature found across Northern hemisphere with over 2,000 species is the Barb fish which is also know as freshwater shark.
Regarding Barb fish as a freshwater shark is nothing but the fact that the Barb fish are one of the very few species of fish to have row of teeth in their mouth in freshwaters.
The Barb is a group of small freshwater fishes that are omnivorous in nature. They feed on both water plants and other smaller fishes alongside shrimps in the river.
They are believed to have originated from Asia and can live up to 7 years.
