We are in a time in football history where the competition for the best players in the world seems to be only between two players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. The first is from Portugal and plays in Juventus, Serie A league, while the second is from Argentina and plays in Barcelona , LA liga.
The competition between them has been on for over 10 years now and it seems like there's no opposition at all. The only oppositions that came close are the likes of Andres Iniesta, Luca Modric,Virgil Van Djik, and Neymar, of which only Luca Modric was successful. Some people think those players are overrated while majority thinks they deserve it.
Fans have always been fighting and arguing amongst themselves who's better and there's always no conclusion.
Lionel Messi has won the Balloons D'or 6 times will Ronaldo has won it 5 times. But Ronald has more trophies than Lionel Messi, international and club altogether.
