Today is the fifth day of our #EndSars protest. If we keep on with the protest for a month, the whole world would come to our aid and save us from this menace. So we decided to move out to the Lekki Toll Gate so as to cover more ground and meet up with other protesters and get more people to join our cause. We had to show them how relentless we were in the pursuit of our goals. Chukwudi, Segun, Yahaya, Sola, Tofunmi, Aminat, Christianah, Jimoh and a lot of other determined youths who I didn't know much about all trooped out holding the valued flags of our treasured motherland.

We were all desperate for a new nation,we were thirsty for a change. Chike also decided he wouldn't leave the country until police brutality had been eliminated. Even Tunde who just got discharged a few days ago was not left out, he joined in the protest in defiance to his mother who pleaded that he stay home and get more rest.

We set out exactly at 2pm singing so hard and loud as our throats would permit, if this was what it took to get rid of all the detestable acts of terror in the country then so be it. I struck my big toe against a stone as I made my way to help Tunde who was staggering behind the group of energetic protesters. It was a bad omen and I knew I ought to go back home and set out again, but it was too late for that as we were already far from home. I mumbled prayers under my breath and hoped the omens got it all wrong.I continued the journey.

After what seemed like forever we finally got to the toll gate. It was a sight to behold, nearly all the youths from the state had managed to find their way to the toll gate, a live band was entertaining the protesters while a cow was being roasted on a stake. Two birds with a stone right? We get to wipe out bad governance and enjoy the time of our lives too. I found a less crowded spot for Tunde where he could watch the fun without having to stay in the harsh blazing sun. "SORO SOKE WEREY", Charles, who was the leader of our protest group, could be heard saying to the crowd that had formed around him, his poor yoruba made the phrase more funny than usual.

"Wetin we want? "He continued his chant. "END SARS", the crowd thundered

Charles-"END WETIN?"

Crowd -"END POLICE BRUTALITY"

Charles-"END WHAT?"

Crowd -"END BAD GOVERNMENT".

Charles-"END WHAT?!"

The crowd went wild with energy, "END SARS! END SARS!! END SARS!!!"

Soon enough, the ever energetic Charles Ogbonaya had sparked a revival and over two thousand determined youths were chanting END SARS on the lek
