In 1932, 94 grade school students from Japan were kidnapped by the government and they were brought in a secret location
in an island called Ōkunoshima. Before the kidnapping took place, the parents of the students were informed that the students
will go in a field trip for 10 days in Tokyo.
However, the bus where the students boarded arrived at a different destination,
they arrived in the island of Ōmishima in where it is just 20 minutes sail away from the secret island of Ōkunoshima. After the
students arrived in Okunoshima, the students were forced to wear a belt rigged with bombs around their waist and they were warned
that if they try to defuse it, the bombs will detonate.

All 94 students were lined up in the airfield and a backpack containing food and water were given to them one by one. After that, the military announced to the students that they were to go into the forest and whoever come back in the base will be shot dead and
that they have to murder each other and the remaining two who survives in the forest will be allowed to get off the island and be
with their family. The announcement also made it clear that if more than two students are still alive then the game will not end until
the students remaining is only two. If a student tries to escape, then all of the bombs strapped to them will be detonated.

In a secret document found by Americans in world war 2, it was stated that on day 1 to day 5 all 94 students was still alive and they
were sharing and caring for each other until day 10 comes in where a student stab one of his classmates because he refuses to share his water. Things got worst, they started hunting for each other until only 4 students remain. The government ordered the military to retrieve the remaining 4 students, after the students were rescued, they were interrogated by a scientist. The Japanese government had done this experiment because they want to know the effects of action of young children if they were forced into a dangerous situation. The document found in a Japanese base by the American was brought in the U.S and was analyzed.

This story in the document inspired Kinji Fukasaku to make the film Battle Royale.
