A beautiful young woman sitting in the bar suddenly caught sight of a man standing next to her. Such a handsome and strong young man is not seen. The young bartender ordered his drink and added, "My drink will be shaken, not steered." As soon as the bartender left, the young man looked back at the young woman, realizing that he was interested. Laughing a little, the young man introduced himself, "My name is Bond, James Bond."

People who have never seen such a scene in a James Bond movie are rare. For many actors, playing the character of James Bond means getting the moon in the sky. James Bond has become a lucrative franchise with the gift of one successful film after another. Many actors face it, when will the opportunity to work in this character come. Many of them continue to trade opportunities in the role of bonds. But the one who started all this, his name is Shawn Connery. He is the greatest bond in the hearts of millions of bond fans, no one has been able to snatch his seat.

Birth and childhood

Ninety years ago today, Shawn Thomas Connery was born in the Fountainbridge area, not far from Edinburgh, Scotland. His father Jack was a truck driver and his mother Euphemia was a washerwoman. The poor Kanari family lived in a small two-room flat, and due to lack of space, the mother kept the baby Kanari in a drawer. There was a rubber factory near the area where they lived, and the smell always came from there. That is why the name of that area was "Road of a thousand smells".

As a child, everyone called Connery a robber Tommy. He played good football with the boys in the neighborhood. He was comparatively taller, wider and stronger than his peers. Conari did not hesitate to use his strength during the game to push the opponent. So his name became Big Tam. He started studying in a local primary school. However, sports and pictures attracted him more than his studies. He often ran away from school and went to the cinema to see pictures.

Connery's younger brother Neel was born. Tensions increase in poor families. When World War II broke out, Connery dropped out of school. For the sake of his family, he started working on a cattle farm in 1943. When the war ended, he joined the British Royal Navy in 1946. While here he drew two tattoos on his body. One had mother and father written on it, the other tattooed Forever Scotland. Connery was always proud of his Scottish identity.

New life

Connery was released from the Navy three years later with stomach problems. Returning home, Connery tried to earn a living. He worked selling milk, working as a coal miner, a construction worker, and even a coffin cleaner. However, he exercised all the time and made himself fit. So the work of male models at the Edinburgh Art School also matched.

Connery came to London in 1953 to compete in the Mr. Universe competition. Connery challenged himself by introducing himself as Mr Scotland. Connery was third in the long category with a body of six feet two inches. In the audience was a casting director who was looking for someone like Connery. He gave Connery the opportunity to work on stage as an extra.

1954 was the day for Connery. He starred in Roger and Hammerstein's famous stage musical South Pacific as a minor character. Connery admits in his own words that he could neither sing nor dance. His job was a lot like eye candy, to show himself on stage. However, he gradually learned a lot from acting, and at one point was selected as the main character in the musical.

Shawn Connery and Matt Busby

Connery loved to play football. He also played fairly regularly at the local football club before concentrating fully on stage. Connery once got into a local game while touring with the South Pacific team. Little did he know that Sir Matt Busby, the legendary manager of Manchester United, was in the audience. Seeing the scattering of footballer talent in Connery, Busby offered him to play for United for 25 a week. At that time it was a good amount of money. Conario was somewhat tempted. But he thought that if the price of a footballer runs out after thirty, then what will he do the rest of the time! As a result, Basbi turned down the offer and focused on acting.

Connery on screen

Along with the success on the stage, Kanari also got some fame. As a result, the opportunity arose on television. His impeccable performance as a boxer in the BBC's "Require for a Heavyweight" in 1957 caught the attention of critics. Connery made her big screen debut with a small character in the movie "Lilac's in the Spring".

In 1958, Connery starred as one of the characters in "Another Time, Another Place" with then-famous actress Lana Turner. Turner's then-boyfriend Johnny Stumpenato was notorious as a rioter. Stampenato appeared on the photo set with a pistol as tabloid magazines naturally published rumors about Turner and Connery's love. Where is the boy who wants to become a dwarf and touch the moon? Conari wounded Stumpenato and snatched his pistol, while the rest of the crew rushed to intercept Stumpenato.

Connery then appeared in a 1959 Disney film (Derby Ogil and the Little People). In 1961, he got the chance to play the lead role in a comedy film "On the Fiddle". The following year, Connery's performance in "The Longest Day," a World War II film, was praised.

Bond ... James Bond

Ian Fleming's James Bond series then caused a stir in the readership. This time he thought of bringing the adventurous British Spy on the big screen. The project was initiated by Harry Saltzman and Albert Brockley, co-producers of Ion Productions. They tested many actors, but did not remember any of them. At the time, Brockley's wife, Dana, persuaded her husband to give Connery the role of Bond. Fleming himself was not satisfied with Connery at first. But his girlfriend told him that the picture painted by Fleming lady Mohan Spy, Connery would be able to bring it to life completely.

The first film in the Bond series, Doctor No, was released in 1962. Sean Connery, who is also very popular among women, made his debut as an adventurous secret agent. All the techniques to win the hearts of beautiful young women by using their infallible attraction are at his fingertips. Connery took Bond Girl Ursula Andres by storm at the box office. Even if the critics give both, what comes to the general audience! He raised his hands and accepted this spike. The journey on celluloid began with one of the most popular film series in history. The following year, he released "From Russia with Love" with Saltzman and Brockley Connery. El Goldfinger in 1964, Thunderball in 1965 and "You Only Live Twice" in 1967. After the first film, Fleming fell in love with Connery, so in the book You Only Live Twice, he showed Scottish to Bond's father.

Bondrupi Sean Connery;

Connery, however, is out of breath. He is a born actor, but there is nothing new in Bond's character, he is not getting a chance to show his acting talent. As a result, he said goodbye to the series after the fifth film. After many requests, in 1971 he made Bond's film "Diamonds Are Forever". Then in 1983, Tin starred in his seventh and latest Bond film, "Never Say Never Again". Here he is seen taking on the role of a somewhat older secret agent. This film was made from outside Ion Productions. As a result, Brockley and Saltzman were not involved.

Other pictures

During and after Bond, Connery has shown his acting ability in many films. Notable among these are Alfred Hitchcock's Marni opposite Tippi Hadren in 1964, and the star-studded Murder on the Orient Express in 1974, based on Agatha Christie's novel. In 1986, he won the British Academy Film Award for The Name of the Rose. In 1987, he won the coveted Oscar for his role as a burnt-out police officer in The Untouchable.

Sean Connery at the Oscars;

In 1989, Connery appeared in the third edition of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas's Indian Jones, starring the father of another legendary Harrison Ford in the lead role.

Shawn Connery and Harrison Ford;

In some of Connery's films in the 90's, in The Hunt for Red in October 1990, he played a defeating Soviet submarine captain, Nicholas Cage, a British agent imprisoned in The Rock Connery America, and a clever thief in an entrapment opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones. These pictures were quite successful.

The Hunt for Red October;

Connery last appeared on screen in 2003 as Henry Ryder Haggard's famous character, Alan Quatermain, in the film League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. He then retired completely. Wrap up in your home on the Bahamas. Although he gave voice in some films, he did not appear on the screen physically.

Rewards

In addition to the British Film Award, Oscar received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Connery Kennedy Center in 1999. When Queen Elizabeth II Shawn Connery was knighted in 2000, she became Sir Shawn Connery.

Family

Connery was married twice. The first wife was actress Diane Silent. Connery's son Jason was born with him. After the divorce in 1973, he married Michelin Roberbrook, of Moroccan descent, two years later. Their relationship lasted until his death.

Death

The powerful actor died on October 31, 2020. In his sleep at his Bahamas home. He was ninety years old at the time of his death.

Political ideology

Connery was a member of the Scottish National Party. He has always been vocal about Scottish independence. He had an acquaintance with Nicola Starzion, the first minister of Scotland. In a 2004 Sunday Herald survey, Connie was named "The Living Scottish". In 2011 he was elected Scotland's national treasure. Support for Scottish independence pushed back his knighthood gains.

Sean Connery has played many characters. Honestly, he had a strong aversion to Bond's character, he only worked in this film to establish himself in Hollywood. But people remember him for the bond. Whoever comes to play the role of Bond is measured by the criteria of Connery. There is an argument about who is the greatest bond, but in most surveys there is no one close to Connery. In a recent RadioTimes.com poll, Connery was named the best bond out of nearly 14,000 fans. As news of his death spread, Connery's friend Alex Sammond, a former First Minister of Scotland, wrote on Twitter:

"The best Scott in the world, the last star of the golden age of Hollywood, and the real James Bond"
