Exposing Some Hidden Gems
Ohayo Minna San!
Hola, cómo estás! I hope you had a great day. Good Morning to those who've just waken up, and Good Night to those who's about to go to their dreamland.
There is this new prompt that's been going on around the read cash community, and when it's about prompts, I'm always up for that, especially if it's an entertaining one. Thanks to kuys Kudo @meitanteikudo for initiating this entertaining prompt. Because of him, I was saved from a mental block and I was also able to save an article for this day. Thankies kuys for this prompt. You really are the savior of the broken, the beaten, and the damned. Chariizzz just stealing some lines from MCR's WTTBP, lmao.
After reading some entries by other writers, I had fun reading all of your entries, especially with some of your attached photos that are also catchy. So, I have also prepared my entry for this prompt. I actually wrote this early last night, but I wasn't able to publish it this morning as I left it undone, and I just decided to finish writing it up late at night. lol.
**Oldest Photo**
Hi, lang! @Corpsekunno HAHAHA pag online na para makakita ka ani lmao. Don't worry, I covered your face naman so you don't have to worry hehe. This was taken last January 2019. This was the time when we had our group activity and it was about some cooking stuff. I forgot what it is but yeah we did some cooking as it is obvious to what she was holding. We cooked some bread rolls and some I don't know what that circles are, lol. But I guess those are hotdogs, I forgot the whole details. After that, we brought the foods at the bay and ate it there, and we all had fun!
**Latest Photo**
This was my phone's latest photo, not literally mine. This was just some news online that I saw, and I took a screenshot of it. I got mixed emotions after reading this news, I was shocked, amazed, and laughed at the same time. Because just imagine posting your emotionless selfies as an NFT for fun and because you're bored, but then later on, someone buys your photo and it blooms! He really is a lucky guy, lol.
**Funniest Photo**
This is literally the funniest moment of this one. This was the time of year when we did our family thing. We were giving gifts and having some feeding programs for the kids at that time in the mountain area. This photo was taken at the time when we took a break and decided to take a photo of us, cousins. I put my phone on the ground and only use a rock at the back to keep it's balance. So, we set the timer and, as we are all smiling, all of a sudden, one of our guard dogs, Ino, stops in the middle and stares at us. We all laughed at the situation because Ino just blocked the camera. I guess he also wants to be in the photo haha.
**A place you have been to and want to visit again.**
This was before the lockdown happened, I guess this was two days before the lockdown in our area. This was actually an unplanned trip with just the four of us, and we only rode two motorcycles. One was me and my sister, and the other one was my cousin and his sister too. It was my first time at that place, and the view was fascinating because it's so close to nature. There were different kinds of colorful plants everywhere that would surely make you fall in love even more with the view. *[Just don't mind the shirt]*
**A food you want to eat again.**
This isn't my own photo, but I only saw this on Facebook way back in 2020, and it's been in my phone for a year already. I just looked at it every time I crave this one. Lol. My mouth is watering while I am writing this one lmao.
**A photo you have no idea what it is about**
It's just some random meme I saw on the internet. I don't know why I saved this though. But all I know is that I love different kinds of memes, especially the darcc ones. Jk. Memes make me feel alive, honestly, because they keep me entertained.
**A Selfie**
I don't have a decent selfie, because most of my selfies are just me being a crackhead haha. All my selfies are just blurry or sometimes I make fun of my face. I always do dumb things when I take a selfie. Or if I ever take a decent selfie, I would literally delete it immediately.
So, here's mine. I hope you guys had fun because I also had fun while writing this one.

VIVA PIT SENYOR! My Sinulog Festival Experience
Today, Sunday, January 16, 2022, marks the Sinulog Festival that is traditionally held on every third Sunday of January. This is a festival celebrated in honor of Santo Nino the baby Jesus. Cebu City is a religious city where there are lots of devotees praying for the saint. I grew up in a religious family, especially since both of my grandparents were very religious people and devotees of Senior Santo Nino. It has also been our family’s tradition to hold a novena before and on the day of the fiesta.
In today’s article, I will be sharing with you guys my Sinulog festival experiences.
Every Sinulog day, it has been one of our family’s traditions to visit the ***Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu*** to light a candle.
https://theculturetrip.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/sto-_nino_basilica_de_cebu_from_the_pligrims_center.jpg
We always go to the city the day before the festival because it will get too crowded and there will be too much traffic if we go there on the day of the festival. We have lots of relatives residing in the city, from Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue City, so it saves us some money because we will no longer be renting an apartment or a hotel room for us to stay in because we were just going to be staying with our relatives’ houses. We always made sure that before we visited other places and had some fun, we would always go to the church first and light up some candles and ask for guidance from the heavenly father. After that, we can go to different places and have fun wherever we want.
When you arrive at the heart of the city, the first thing that will surely catch your attention will be the colorful decorations everywhere. The day of the festival will also be the crazy day where they morning the night. The city is busy in the daytime and even more busy and alive at night. The last time I went to the city was in 2018. I wasn’t able to go with them because I was busy with my studies at that time. That’s why I chose to stay in my boarding house. But let’s talk about my past Sinulog experiences.
The first time that I went with my cousin was when I was just a kid, I was just a 13-year-old at the time, and it was my first time going with my cousin to join the float parade and see some celebrities. You know what a kid would feel like if they saw their favourite celebrity. I was a very tiny kiddo so my sister would always hold my hand so that I wouldn’t get lost. I was not expecting the number of people that I saw when we arrived at the Fuente Osmena. There was literally no space and it was too crowded. There were people everywhere and the space became too tight to the point that I could no longer breathe properly. I began to panic because I felt that my chest had become too tight and then there was a stampede. I literally cried that time, and my cousin and sister brought me to the mall. I thought to myself at that time that it would be the first time, and probably the last time that I would go with them. LOL. But it didn’t happen.
https://img.over-blog-kiwi.com/1/57/38/79/20150425/ob_f0d028_sinu4-2.jpg
I was traumatized by that experience, but I will still go with them to the next Sinulog festival. LOL.
This time, I became more aware of my surroundings as I became more mature. This is the time where I literally had fun and enjoyed the festival. At day time, we no longer watch the parade; we just stroll around the city and watch different exhibits and other entertaining stuff. We didn’t notice how far we had already walked because it’s too difficult for you to ride a jeepney because the streets are crowded and only a few can pass by. At night, we stayed at the Fuente Osmena circle and ate some barbeque. There was a live band with some of the famous artists and bands in the Philippines. The performers were Bamboo, Itchy Worms, Spongecola, Kamikaze, and others. It was a night of fun for us because of the loud music that people were vibing to. We were at the very front of the stage to the point that we could literally touch their feet haha. When Yael from Sponge Cola came in, the crowd went crazy, and so did we. All of our tiredness was totally gone after that night. We didn’t even feel numb on our feet or in our bodies as if we hadn’t walked a few kilometers.
But after the fun day came the no transportation day. The day after the festival was the day most of the people returned to their provinces, and if you wanted to travel that day, expect that you either couldn’t have a seat on the bus or it would take you till evening before you could get on the bus or in a van.
When we went to the bus station, there were lots of people around, and the ticket line was so long that it even went to the outside. We still hadn’t gotten our tickets at that time, but we still checked out if there were many buses around. When we saw the one bus arriving, we were totally shocked as to how the people standing in the waiting area ran towards the bus even if the bus hadn’t parked in the right place. People have literally gone insane, as we saw some people climbing up the bus window just to get in and take a seat. They all looked like they were in a movie. They were like zombies hunting their prey, which was inside the bus. What made us worried was that the bus got overloaded and there were even kids inside. After we witnessed that scene, we decided to go back to the house of our uncle and decided to travel the next day.
The next day was a very peaceful day, and there were only a few people left in the bus station, and some of those people were also from our neighboring provinces. If only those people could wait a little longer, they wouldn’t be struggling inside a bus and could even have a safe travel experience without getting worried.
It was still a fun experience as we all enjoyed it. The last Sinulog was only held virtually because of the pandemic. I hope everything will be back to normal and back to the happy Sinulog day.

Let’s Talk About The Queen City Of The South; Cebu City
***Have you been to Cebu City?***
***Was it a fun and adventurous one?***
***Let me introduce to you the Queen City of the South, Cebu City.***
The famous Queen City of the South, Cebu City, is the place where I lived. Cebu City is one of the most well-known cities and places because of its historical remains from the past here in the Philippines. It is also one of the oldest cities. This is the place where the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan landed and Christianized the Filipino people. The famous *battle of Mactan* and the death of Ferdinand Magellan took place on the island of Mactan, where the Spanish troops of Magellan were defeated by the brave warriors of Lapu-Lapu, the Datu of Mactan. ***Lapu-Lapu City*** was then named after him. The oldest street in the Philippines is also located in Cebu City and it is called ***Colon Street***, the place that doesn’t sleep. This is the place where everyone is awake and alive.
*Colon Street Before*

*Colon Street After*
https://i0.wp.com/www.atonibai.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/colon-street.jpg?fit=768%2C577&ssl=1
The city of Cebu was also one of the richest cities in the Philippines. Most of the big names and big personalities resided in Cebu City.
***Trivia: Cebu City was the first capital of the Philippines.***
***What is Cebu known for?***
Foods
The city of Cebu also has some of the best and tastiest foods you’ll ever get! One of Cebu’s delicacies was the ***Letchon Baboy***, a roasted pig. One of the best food combos you’ll get in Cebu is the Siomai and Puso. Puso is a rice dish wrapped in pandan leaves paired with *siomai*, or the famous ***Siomai sa Tisa***. Dried Mangoes were also one of Cebu’s best pasalubong. If you want some dried fish, tuyo, or ***buwad***, it’s all here in Cebu. The famous tastiest ***danggit*** and other plates of seafood can be purchased on some Cebu islands, particularly on Cordova. Believe it or not, dried fish is way more expensive than pork.
**Tourism**
When we talk about tourism, everything you want is all here in Cebu! When you search for famous tourist spots in the Philippines, most of the results that appear will all be located in Cebu. From enormous mountains to a beach where the sands are as white as snow. There are lots of tourist spots in Cebu that can be easily accessible. If you want to unwind with nature, you can go hike at Osmenia Peak, or if you want to smell the ocean breeze and swim around with the whale sharks, you can visit Moalboal.
History
If you are the type of person who is fond of exploring historical places, there is sure to be a place for you. Fort San Pedro, Magellan’s Cross, Colon, Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral, Simala Shrine, and many more! There will always be a special place just for you. Name it, and Cebu City will always have it.

Festivals
Cebu is well-known for more than just its cuisine, tourism, and history. One of the biggest festivals celebrated in the Philippines is also located here in Cebu, and it is the Sinulog Festival. It is a festival that is held every third Sunday of January. The feast of Senior Santo Niño is a celebration in honor of Santo Niño the baby Jesus, a long week-long celebration. This is celebrated with a dance by each participant of each province, with some colorful costumes. Tomorrow will be the feast of Santo Niño January 16, 2022, the third Sunday of January.

I Just Wanna Get Over This
I woke up this morning feeling tired, but my head didn’t hurt that much, only my left arm was still a bit painful. I didn’t get enough sleep because of my painful arm, but thankfully it’s not swollen or shows any reddish or pinkish or anything, it looks perfectly fine except that it’s still a bit painful. Last night, my right arm also hurt a little because I didn’t change my sleeping position and it got numb too, but it didn’t last long.
I was a little bit worried if I would have a fever because my head started to get hurt and my temperature started to went up, so I went back to bed and stayed for a little longer. When it's lunchtime, my head gets worse and the pain in my left arm gets worse too. I even ate my lunch late at 2 pm already. When I took my lunch at 2 pm, I felt a little okay, unlike earlier when my head felt like it was about to explode because of too much pain. After I ate, I went back to my room and read some articles and took a peek at noise cash and interact a little.
For the nth time, I rewatched the animated Disney movie Encanto just to ease my boredom and keep myself entertained. Well, I didn’t get tired of watching this movie. Sometimes I skipped some parts and went directly to the song parts, especially the *'We Don’t Talk About Bruno'*, haha.
After that, I watched some YouTube videos, some ASMR, Mukbang, and any random videos that popped into my head. I even watched some documentaries about some serial killers and some inmates who requested their last meal before being executed. I watched everything just to ease my boredom because I was all alone in my room and outside in the living room where my grandparents and my niece and nephews were playing card games with them. The rest of my cousins were outside playing some Mobile Legends. I was so bored.
Because of my boredom, I was able to solve the Rubik's cube! HAHA. Well, actually, I already knew how to solve it not too long ago, but I am still practicing some other algorithm to solve it even faster. I’m still not too good at it since I’m still just a beginner and learning some other moves.
Then later on, I decided to get out of my room and go for a little walk instead of staying inside the four-walled room that makes me feel so sick and bored. I wore a hoddie because the weather was not in a good mood, but it wasn’t raining. The clouds were grey and it looked like it was going to rain. I went to my aunt's house and looked at their fish pond before returning home, but this time I stayed on the terrace and sat in the swing. My cousins were there too, and they looked like they had so much fun, while I, on the other hand, couldn’t even move my left arm. LOL.
My younger brother looks like he didn’t get injected in his arm because he looks so fine as if he’s not in pain. Well, I guess he really is not. He didn’t even take a rest after we got vaccinated because when we arrived home, he went straight to our aunt’s house to play some mobile legends with the rest of our cousins. And this morning, he asked me how my hand was, if it’s still painful or not and I told him yes, it’s still painful. And what this young man replied to me, he just said, "*oyy, weak!*" HAHA. Why is my sibling like this? Ugh!
I was writing this one while I was in the swing. They were so focused on playing Mobile Legends, and my other cousin was also focused on reading Wattpad, and me, here, was also focused on writing this article. LOL.
**Jini's Note:**
Apologies if I posted some random stuff again. I hope you’ll understand me. haha. My head was not in the mood to write some other articles today. Maybe tomorrow, if I get better na, I will write other articles that don’t talk about my daily life. Teehee.

Got Some Dose
Hey there, my read cash buddies! How’s it going? I hope you had a great day today; I mean, I hope that y’all will have a great and blessed day every day.
Today I finally got my first dose of covid vaccine which is a Pfizer. To tell you honestly, I really don’t have a plan to get myself vaccinated because I just don’t want to, it's not that I’m afraid, lol, I just really don’t want to. But then a single memorandum changed my mind and allowed myself to get vaccinated, lol. When I read a Facebook post from our university’s page, they posted a memo about the face-to-face class, they’re planning to have a limited face-to-face class and only those fully vaccinated students can enter the school premises. You know that I don’t wanna be left behind so I pushed myself to get vaccinated. I was waiting for the schedule for the Pfizer vaccine because they said that it doesn’t have that much side effects and also the rest of my family got Pfizer except for my older brother who got Astra.
Actually, this is my second attempt to get myself vaccinated, but the first one didn’t go as planned lol. Last Friday, I went to the vaccination area with my younger brother. The funny thing is that we were so determined to get vaccinated at that time. We woke up late because our aunt informed us that it was already 8 in the morning and we had just woken up at that time, but even still, we got up and fixed ourselves. We arrived at the area at 10 pm and, damn, it was freaking crowded. There were lots of people. I wasn’t expecting it to be that crowded because our aunt said that there were just a few people around. When we got to fall in line, we were the last ones, and it was so freaking hot because the line went all the way outside the area. We waited until 12 p.m. when they announced that the line I was in had been cut off and that we needed to return at 1 p.m. To tell you the truth, my patience is not as strong and high as yours. I have little patience. After that, I decided to go home and chill myself out because I was starting to have a bad mood because of the sun's heat above my head, along with some loud and annoying people. That’s one of the reasons why I hate going out. LOL.
Yesterday, I checked our LGU’s page about the vaccine schedule and thankfully there’s a schedule for Pfizer, and it's Thursday today. I told my brother about it and he said he will also go. When we arrived at the area today, there were just a few people, and it is not that crowded because it's just only for the first dose. I went to the line and got my form; everything went smoothly and was no hassle. When it’s my turn to check my blood pressure and heart rate, I calmed myself down. My blood pressure was fine but the problem was my heart rate, the nurse says it's so fast lol, the first attempt was 112 so they told me to relax and take a break first. After a minute I went back again and it's already 110, and thankfully the nurse says that it's fine.
My brother got vaccinated first and then the next one is me. I was in the other chair with a younger nurse. My eyes were so focused staring at the other guy beside me when the nurse injected the vaccine, I gulped twice when I saw how the needle pierce to his skin. When it's my turn, I looked away when they were preparing the syringe and cotton. Then when she started holding my arm my heart beat so fast lol, then she said that she’ll inject it. It freaking hurts! I’m not O.A or overreacting or whatevah, it really hurts though. She pushed the needle all the way to my bone, I can literally feel the needle touching my bone, lmao.
I really hate seeing some syringes, I despise it, I have a phobia with syringes, that’s why I don’t want to get vaccinated, lol. That is why whenever someone says that it doesn’t hurt and it only hurts like a bite of an ant, I don’t believe it, I’m done believing it haha. They said it's just a bite of an ant, NO, IT'S NOT, AND IT FREAKING HURTS AT ALL! HAHAHA.
I just woke up and, as of now, my left arm is starting to get numb. I couldn’t even move my left arm as if it was paralyzed, lol. My head hurts too, but I am hoping that I won't have a fever. I’m already okay with my numb arm. I'll be resting more. I'll be reading some of your articles here later.

I'm Dead...
First part: They Want Me Dead https://read.cash/@Jinifer/they-want-me-dead-6b9d7a7d
All of a sudden, one of my friends stood up and said, "surprise!". I felt something sharp stabbing behind my back. It kept stabbing behind my back repeatedly until I lost my vision. As my eyes were about to close, I saw all of my friends staring at me and started laughing like they’d gone crazy...
I woke up because of the sound that I heard coming from a tool beside me. There was a big light above me, and I wondered where I was. I noticed that my body was covered in a white blanket, but that the outside was slightly visible because of the light’s brightness. I tried to move my hands, but I couldn’t move an inch. My whole body felt so numb as if I was being tightly wrapped. I felt so cold. Under this white blanket was my naked body. A guy opened the blanket on my head part. I couldn’t see him clearly because of the light. I moved my head around and noticed that I was not in a hospital nor in an operating room. My heart began to race as I noticed that I was in a morgue. As my vision began to get clearer, I was finally able to see who was staring at me. When he removed his mask, I was totally shocked because it was our math teacher!
I know I’m clearly alive, but I couldn’t move. I wonder what he did to me. He caresses my head gently without saying a single word. I told him to help me, but he just didn’t listen. He then took a tool that looked like a small saw. "No, No, No," I told him to stop and keep begging him, but he only patted my head three times and said, "sshhh."
......
I woke up breathing heavily as I tried to catch my breath. I also noticed that the dried tears on both sides of my eyes were flowing into my ears. What a hell of a dream that was. I grabbed my phone and checked the time; it was still too early in the morning as the time was still 4 AM. It’s been two consecutive days that I’ve been dreaming of stuff like this, if not my friends, then sometimes my relatives or people that I know. I’m already tired of waking up early in the morning trying to catch my breath. Isn't it a pretty annoying yet creepy kind of dream? I hope you’re not having the same kind of dream as I do.
As I read Kuya Kudo’s @meitanteikudo article about his dream and deciphered what it was supposed to mean, I thought to myself that maybe I should do some research about mine too. I haven’t tried doing some research about getting killed in a dream as I thought that it might sound hilarious to some. But as I delved deeper into the internet, I became curious about what my dreams were supposed to mean, and here it is.
I really don’t know if I should believe stuff like this because I don’t easily believe these kinds of things, but sometimes things are just too accurate that I can’t even deny it. I guess it is somewhat true that every time that I feel hopeless and down, I always end up having these kinds of nightmares.
I don’t think so, because I haven’t seen a person that I've hurt before appearing in my dream, the funny thing is that the innocent and silent ones are the ones that usually appeared in my dream and the ones who wanted to kill me.
As I’ve said in my previous articles, I always have these kinds of dreams. They all wanted to kill me, but I wouldn’t die because whenever they’re about to kill me, it always suddenly changes into another scenario. Sometimes they succeeded, but most of the time they didn’t. I always survived, so I guess I should consider myself lucky. But this recent dream of mine was hella creepy.
As I was reading this one, I slowly started to believe that I guess it's true because everything seemed so right about what I felt. But we're still not a hundred percent sure because this was all just an interpretation.
*Note: This is just a dream, it did not happen in reality. Teehee*

They Want Me Dead
I was having a great day with my friends at school as it was the day where the school year was about to end. We were chilling at one of the nipa huts in our school’s garden, just chit-chatting and exchanging some jokes. It was a fine, normal day, like what a typical high school student’s day would be like. As we were laughing at each other, one of my classmates approached me and said that she wanted to borrow something from me. She then escorted me back to our classroom, which is located on the second-floor building. I feel so anxious about the environment; it feels so dull and unalive. When we arrived at our classroom, I went straight to where my armchair was. It was just the two of us alone inside the four-walled classroom.
As I was about to hand her the thing that she wanted to borrow, she went to the door and closed it. I asked her why she bothered closing the door when we weren't going to be inside for long, but she didn't say anything, instead, she took something inside her bag, and as I saw a little light coming from a sharp silver knife, I stepped back and asked her what the knife was for, but she didn't say anything. I stepped back once again, but she walked straight towards me with an emotionless face. I started to panic thinking of the possibility of what she might do to me. I didn’t do anything to her and we were good friends. I shouted what was wrong with her, but she remained silent with an emotionless face. I shouted for help, but only my voice echoed inside the room. That was the only sound I heard.
I ran to the teacher's table and without hesitation, I threw all the stuff that my hand touched towards her, but she didn’t even cover herself in defense. She walks towards me slowly, like a serial killer would usually do in a horror movie. I kept telling her to stop, but she won't even listen. It looks like she’s not her real self at all. Water started forming in my eyes and was ready to fall on my cheeks anytime. I kept begging her to stop, but it was still no use at all. When she was only a meter away from me, I grabbed my teacher's monobloc chair and threw it towards her. She stumbled down, and that gave me a chance to run away and leave the room.
I ran straight to the door and, thankfully, it wasn’t locked. I didn’t even bother looking back at her and ran straight to the ground floor. I went to the ground floor, but it was too quiet. No one was around. Not a single shadow of a student was visible. There were lots of students earlier before I went upstairs, but how did this happen? They’re all gone. I turned around everywhere, hoping to find someone that might help me. It was so quiet, then I noticed a group of people who were laughing inside the nipa hut, which were my friends.
I ran towards them, asking for their help. My hands were shaking, and so were my knees. I told them that there was something wrong with one of our classmates. I expected them to worry about me, but I was wrong. After I said those words to them, they didn’t react or become worried about me at all. They were just staring at me without any emotions showing on their faces. All of a sudden, one of my friends stood up and said, "surprise!". I felt something sharp stabbing behind my back. It kept stabbing behind my back repeatedly until my whole body started to feel numb and my eyes started to blur as I lost my vision. As my eyes were about to close, I saw all of my friends starring at me and starting laughing like they’d gone crazy.
*To be continued...*

This was supposedly my entry for kuya Kudo's prompt, deciphering what our dreams are supposed to mean. But I got hooked up on writing this one, so I decided to split it into two articles, so the second article will finally be a prompt and will be submitted in a prompt factory teehee.

30 Million Pounds of Trash Removed #TeamSeas
Imagine what the world would look like if we got to remove millions of millions of pieces of trash all over the world. We will no longer worry about plastics everywhere and the stinky smells of trash that is thrown by undisciplined creatures. We would've been living in a paradise if we got to maintain this kind of beauty in our environment.
If you have read my old article from a month ago, "***Wake Up And Pick Your Trash***," where I wrote about this one when the fundraising had just started, This is the fundraising that the famous content creators have been up to until now. This fundraising was initiated by Mark Rober and Mr. Beast and is called #TeamSeas, where every donation you give is equivalent to a pound of trash that will be removed. If you donated one dollar, a pound of trash in the ocean would be removed by that single dollar you've just donated. Every single penny counts. The project # TeamSeas started on October 29th, 2021, and they're aiming to accumulate 30 million pounds by the end of the year. And as of now, they have already achieved their 30 million goal, and it's way more than 30 million already.
I am a supporter of Mr. Beast, and I also support #TeamSeas because it is a fantastic project that will benefit not only our environment, but all living things on this planet. If you're a subscriber of Mr. Beast, then you know what a great person he is, because he is known for giving away his money and giving thousands of dollars to random strangers. He wanted to make the world a better place.
https://youtu.be/cV2gBU6hKfY
In 2020, they have also launched a fundraising campaign called **#TeamTrees** , in which every donation will be matched by the number of trees planted. And as the year ends, they've successfully planted more than 20 million trees! And just by the end of the year 2021, they have achieved more than 30 million pounds of trash that has been removed. Also thanks to Elon Musk and other big personalities and companies for donating such a huge amount to help remove millions of pounds of trash from the ocean. https://youtu.be/HPJKxAhLw5I
But, if you think it's just the ocean that they will be cleaning, they also included rivers since that is where most of the trash came from. From people who were living on the riverside and just throwing all of their stuff in the river without knowing that all of the trash that they threw in the river would all end up in the ocean. That is why, with the help of technology, the **Ocean Cleanup** It is a technology that helps take all pieces of trash from the ocean and rivers 24/7.
https://youtu.be/pXDx6DjNLDU
This team up project of Mr.Beast and Mark Rober is the biggest and the baddest of all! That is why let's all help cleaning our dearest ocean to save turtles and other marine wildlife. A single dollar already means a lot.
If you wish to help in removing some trash, you can donate by just clicking this link #TEAMSEAS and you will be redirected to the site. And what's great is that ***THEY ALSO ACCEPT CRYPTO!*** so, Donate Now and let's all help saving Nemo and Dory's families. https://teamseas.org/

And I Will Try To Fix You
Jan 9, 2020 too
My last published article was about my cellphone, which got broken because my cousin accidentally laid on the sofa with my phone on it. I was still able to use it for a couple of hours, which is why I thought there was nothing wrong with my phone at that time. The screen was still very smooth. But then, after an hour, it suddenly flickers. My phone reacted late when my cousin laid on it. I wasn’t able to update and even publish an article because I didn’t have my phone. Actually, I used to write my articles on my laptop, but because of typhoon Odette, up until now we still don’t have an internet connection, and even now there are still some places that haven’t got their power back. But, thankfully, we have already gotten ours.
Yesterday we went to the town to look for some cellphone repair shops, and we only saw one. He checked my phone and said that it really needed a new phone’s LCD because it was damaged. I was initially hesitant because I was concerned that they would damage my phone or change some of its components.I have trust issues, LOL. So, I signed the contract and paid the down payment, which cost PHP 1,500, or $30. The overall repair cost PHP 2,500 ($50). Because they still need to order the units for my phone in the city, when I'm a few blocks away from their shop, I have a change of mind because, as I've previously stated, I have trust issues; however, you can't blame me for that. LMAO.
I went back to their shop to take my phone back. Luckily, the girl wasn’t around and only the man was. The girl was the one who wouldn’t allow me to take my phone back, but the guy thankfully allowed me to get my phone back. He just told me to be back tomorrow, and that’s what I did today.
Today, I went back to their shop at 10:30 and I brought my phone with me. When I arrived, they said that I just needed to get back at 4:30 because they would fix it, so I decided to return home. When I went back home, my mum and my cousins asked where my phone was, and I told them that I had left it at the shop. My cousin was also worried that they might do something to my phone, and my other cousin said that that shop has a lot of complaints from its previous customers because of a certain problem, and it is also too expensive.
When I heard what they’d said, I also started to feel worried, but I tried to calm myself. I don’t care if my phone will forever be unusable. What matters to me is that I can get all the data and information on my phone. I can still use my laptop if the internet connection is back, but as of now, I still need to depend on my phone lol.
I went back at 4:30 as what they’d said. When I arrived, they were still fixing my phone and I waited for a few minutes. My eyes were glued to my phone the whole time, as they were doing some finishing touches on my phone. I didn’t even blink. I just kept on staring at my phone watching their moves. LOL.. When it was finally finished, they put some rubber bands on and reminded me to keep the rubber bands for 2 hours so that the new LCD would stick even more. I was so happy when I was finally able to hold my phone again. I immediately went to check the apps to see if there was something missing, especially my crypto-related app. Thank goodness everything’s the same. But I’m still using my laptop right now as I’m writing this. But I just got my phone back, and that’s all that matters!

Jini's Note:
I have read some of you guys’ suggestions and recommendations on where I should keep and put my seed phrases and other important data. I will definitely do all of those so that I will have lots of backed-up stuff for safety purposes so that I will no longer be worrying if my phone becomes unusable again. Thanks for the suggestions, @Kushyzee !
My apologies if I wasn't active on both platforms again, it's just that there are lots of things happening in here right now. So, I really hope that everything will be back to normal and I hope that I can be as active as I was before.

Mini Heart Attack and A Lesson Learned
Hello there, my wonderful read cash buddies! How’s it going?
And for the second time this year, I failed to publish an article again yesterday because of an unexpected thing that happened that even I myself had literally no idea would happen and I literally didn’t see it coming.
I was having a great day yesterday when, all of a sudden, something unpredictable happened that made my heart skip a beat for a moment. It feels like half my life has fallen to pieces. Some may say that I am overreacting to this one, but I tell you that it is one of the most important things that I needed and I’d rather lose my laptop than this one. And I bet most of you here have been in this situation and can also relate to what I am feeling right now. Because you all know what it feels like when something important to you is suddenly gone.
I know that we shouldn’t depend on it too much, but as for me, I admit that I depended on it. It is already part of my life, so I couldn’t just stay still and calm and look for another one.
Yesterday was a great day for me. I was just chilling all day watching "Happiness," a Korean series, on my laptop. While I was watching, I was also holding my phone and making some noise, and reading articles at the same time. I only glanced at the noise and spent the rest of the day reading articles. During lunch time, I went to the kitchen to eat, and I also brought my phone with me as usual, because I sometimes watch YouTube stories while I am eating to keep me entertained. After that, I went back to the living room to continue what I was watching. Everything went smoothly that day, and I was also in a good mood.
As I was watching alone in the living room, My four cousins then came in and sat beside me. I was in the center of those four humongous creatures. They sat there and also watched the movie, then later on they decided to play Mobile Legends. The sounds of their cellphones are way stronger than the sounds of my laptop. I can clearly hear "You have been slain" more than what the conversation was all about in the movie that I watched.
I left my phone and went to the kitchen to make some iced coffee, and when I got back, I looked for it everywhere, even under the chairs. My other cousin was lying on the sofa, and as he moved, I saw my phone under him. I didn’t worry at that time because when I opened it, it was still okay and the screen was still smooth and functioning well. I still got to use my phone at that time, and I was still able to watch some YouTube videos and read articles, and everything was fine, totally fine.
I thought everything was fine... But then, it was exactly 5:40 PM. I went outside and sat on the swing. I was finalizing and doing some finishing touches to my articles and was about to publish them when the unexpected happened. It all happened so fast, in just the blink of an eye. There were lines popping up on my phone’s screen and then, "poof," it glitches and flickers. My heart then began to race so fast that I started panicking, wondering what the hell was wrong with my phone. It was okay earlier, then why the hell did it go like this? I tried turning it off but it’s no longer touchable. I tried swiping my fingers a hundred times but it was no use at all.
My heartbeat so fast and I was about to cry. My niece sat beside me wondering why I was so silent. Then I told her about my phone. I kept it a secret with her. I told her not to tell her grandma, who is my mom, about what happened to my phone. I tried to stay cool and calm as if nothing had happened. I went inside the house, put my phone in my drawer, and sat down silently. I took a deep breath, hoping that when I took a look at it later it would be back to normal. But an hour later, it was still the same. It didn’t come back to normal. Then I started to worry even more.
To tell you honestly, I am totally fine if my phone gets broken, but what worries me more is that it serves as my wallet and all of my savings are in my phone. All my crypto stuff and even the important files that I needed for my education were all on my phone, along with my school stuff and everything. I didn’t store many files on my laptop because I prefer using my phone because it is so accessible. But the most important thing of all is my savings. I keep all the important information on my phone, including the seed phrase.
I know that it’s my fault too because I didn’t note it down on a piece of paper or in a book. But I am the type of person who’s not fond of taking down notes because I am clumsier and keep misplacing all of my stuff. That is why, for me, it’s much safer if I just keep it in my phone. I remember when Ruffa reminded me to write my seed phrase on a piece of paper in case something happened, but I was so dumb because I didn’t listen to her and just kept everything in my phone. And right now, it finally happened, and I am totally regretting not following what my friends have told me before.
My only hope is that my phone can still be fixed, or if not, I hope I can still get my seed phrase back. Because that’s the only thing that I want.
I am hoping my phone will get fixed. *fingers crossed*

**Jini’s Note:**
I am writing this one with my laptop, but we still don’t have an internet connection because our router still doesn’t have access to the internet. I am only connecting to my brother’s mobile hotspot with the use of my sim card. But the connection is still not stable as it keeps lagging.

Pressure like a tick, tick, tick 'til it's ready to blow
**[ WARNING ⚠️ May contain spoilers from the Disney movie's Encanto ]**
If you haven't watched the movie and you're planning on watching it, I suggest to just skip and keep scrolling to the bottom of this article and just click the Like button. But if you wish to read it and to have knowledge on what the story was all about, then I humbly appreciate it.
Buckle up and now we're heading to the place of enchanted and full of magic. Let's go the La Casa Madrigal!
The new animated Disney movie Encanto gives so much lessons in life especially when it comes to the family. The story in circles around the family madrigal that are so much relatable to every families around the world. The family conflict, the misunderstanding and everything. I have watched Encanto for the third time. Aside from the story itself and it's moral lessons, one thing that makes me wanna watch it on repeat is their songs especially the OST of the movie. Each songs are so catchy that makes you wanna listen to it on repeat especially the vibes and it's beat. Well, as expected from a Disney movie.
I love how this movie gives other characters each point of view that helps us understand more on each one of them.
The story circles around the Family Madrigal and extraordinary family. Abuela, their grandmother bares a triplets and they are named Julieta, Peppa and Bruno. Julieta has three daughters and they are Luisa, Isabela and Mirabel while Peppa also give birth to three kids named Dolores, Camilo and Antonio. Only their tio Bruno remained single. Each one of them have received a gift coming from the magical candle which is also the house itself. On their right day, a new door will shine and awaits behind it their gift that they will get. Everyone of the family received theirs except for Merabel were she is the only one who doesn't have a magical gift.
Mirabel grew up not having the same power as what her family has. As she grows older, she's still waiting for the miracle to happen and that a new door will open for her. Imagine being Merabel and growing up in a family who has magical powers except you. Imagine how painful could it be in the side of Merabel. She tried everything to impress her Abuela that even though she doesn't have powers like her siblings and cousins have, but at least she can do things that makes her Abuela and her family proud. But no matter how hard she tries, Abuela's treatment to her is no longer the same since the day she didn't receive her gift.
Those people who appears to be so jolly and happy all around hides a saddest and darkest part inside of them. Just like Mirabel, even though she's the only member of the family who doesn't magical powers, that doesn't stop her from making enjoying the life and making her family proud.
Abuela gives so much focus on preserving the magic in the family madrigal that is why Isabela, the perfect and the golden of the family and Mirabel's sister was bound to marry Mariano. But little did Abuela know that Isabela didn't even like Mariano and she only agreed to get married to Mariano for the sake of the family. Isabela didn't even get the chance to explore more about her and discover something that she didn't know she's capable of because ever since the day she was born, she was stuck to becoming the perfect lady and the golden of the family madrigal. She forced herself to be the person she doesn't want to become. It all for the sake of the family.
Luisa's character, the oldest sister of Mirabel is the representation of what the oldest felt in every family. They are the second parent and they must remain strong because people will relay on them as the oldest among the siblings. Just like what she said in her song..
*"Pressure like a tick, tick, tick 'til it's ready to blow, whoa*
*Give it to your sister, your sister's stronger*
*See if she can hang on a little longer*
*Who am I if I can't carry it all?*
*If I falter"*
Each one of them was being pressured by the thought of preserving the magic of the family to the point that they overdo it and became the person they don't want to become. We try our best to live up to the expectations of our family, our parents, siblings, grandparents , people we look up to and with some people it seems that whatever we do , we will never be enough.
It's true that the pressure we have in ourselves was all coming from our own family. The pressure of getting their expectations so high and make our family proud.
Ciao!

What We Did Before The Year Ends; A Simple Christmas Gift
***December 31, 2021***
Before the year ends, it's always been our family's tradition to give back the blessings that we received to other people in need. Even though we were also affected by the typhoon and are in need, this doesn't stop us from doing what we've gotten used to doing. The family's tradition never stops, no matter what the situation is, and it will continue till the next generation to generation.
What we always do before the year ends is a feeding program and give gifts to the kids that live in mountain areas. On the mountain where my grandpa owns 90% of the land, This was initiated by our aunt who lives abroad, who is also the major sponsor of this program. She was basically the person behind all of this.
In 2020, what we did was make some fried chicken for the kids and put them in a packed lunch, and we also wrapped some gifts for each of them. We played some games so that the kids could also be entertained and enjoy the day. Last year was so much fun too, because of our fun journey all the way. The road is not that big, an a multicab couldn't fit, so we just walked all the way to the top.
So, this year's 2021 was that we couldn't cook some foods for them because we were too busy preparing ours for the new year's eve and also for our family's gathering, so instead we just ordered a Jollibee for the kids. Even though we were so busy that day, we still gave them time to give the food and gifts to the kids in the mountain area. We got there at lunch time, or probably late lunch, because it was already 1 pm.
When we arrived there, we were greeted by the smiles of the kids running towards us, calling us "ate" and "kuya." They already know the drill because they immediately fall in line with what we said to them the first time we did this feeding program. They followed everything we said to them as they were so obedient. We gave them the food and also the gifts, and you could really see in their smiles and their eyes how happy they were receiving the small gifts that we had for them. It's so satisfying to see someone so happy because of the simple gifts you gave them.
We also give gifts not just to the kids but also to some families who don't have an income because of what happened in our place after we were hit by the typhoon. We gave each of the chosen families a 5 kg sack of rice for them. We only prepared 30 sacks of rice and we only gave it to the people in our area and also in the mountain area. There were lots of people here who still doesn't have an income after the typhoon hit. They still don't have a job because some places don't have power yet and also have no network coverage.
When we gave them each a sack of rice, they were so happy. Even though it's just a 5kg sacks of rice it already give a big help to them. It feels so satisfying to see someone so happy because of what you gave to them espe the smiles of the kids that shows in their faces.
After that, we went home at 4pm and when we arrived home we went directly back to our task that has been left undone because we went to the mountain area. Every year first day of the year or before the year ends we always have a family gathering at our grandparents house. Thankfully this happens because the power is back, if it's not this wouldn't be happened.
I was the one assigned making the desserts and my cousins assigned cooking barbeque while my other cousins are the ones wrapping the Lumpiang Shanghai. My cousins are so full of pranks, you know what they did? They wrapped rice in a lumpia wrapper instead of the meat, and they also wrapped lumpia wrapper in a lumpia wrapper LOL. And you know what's more annoying is that I was the one who got it both. HAHA
And our pranks isn't done yet because we adults also joined the exchange gifts of the kids that was only worth 50 pesos or a dollar. We immediately went to the store and bought some junk foods. LMAO. My cousin bought 50 peso worth of snow bear, my other cousin also bought a 50 peso worth of Mikmik which is a powdered chocolate. When we did the exchange gifts, I was the one who got my cousins gift which is a 5peso worth of sour gumballs HAHA, but we all ended up giving them to our younger cousins.
It was so much fun. Everyone of us really enjoyed that day. Even though we were hit by the typhoon Odette but that doesn't stop us from enjoying the things that we want to do. We can overcome whatever the challenges is as long as we are together as a whole family. ❣️
**Jini's Note:**

1/365: New Chapter Unlocked
The year 2021 may be one of the most hated years, but it leaves us with lots of lessons and realizations in life. It may be the most despised year, but we can't deny that it is also one of the best so far. Because in that year, we get to meet and encounter different people, sometimes meeting strangers that unexpectedly turn into friendships. Discovering things that bring help and so much joy into our lives.
Before I close the book on my 2021, I just want to take a look back at my previous year's memories. Positive and memorable moments from my 2021 year. I admit that I also hated the year 2021. It sucks because 60% of it is that I am unhappy, but even still, I am grateful because those unhappy days of my life are when I get to learn new things.
One of the best things that happened to my 2021 that I'm grateful for is,
**Encountering Read Cash / A so-called- blogger me**
Read cash is everyone's happy pill. And I guess it is also one of the best things that most of us have in our lives because it is truly a ***life-changing platform***. Who would've thought that I was just an introverted student who didn't have savings before and only depended on my parents' and siblings' income? But right now, the tables have turned. I am now supporting them, but not literally supporting them, only if they need me. I'm always there if they need me or something. The bills in our house are cut in half, and it helps my parents' and siblings' payments lessen. It's because I am now paying the electric, water, and internet bills. It's not that huge, so I'm okay with it, especially the internet, because I am always using it 24/7, so I should say that I really am responsible for paying for it. lol.
**Making some noise in noise**
I got into noise cash first before I jumped in to read cash. Receiving my first $0.50 cent really meant a lot to me at the time, and it has had a significant impact on my life. Noise Cash really has a special place in my heart. This is one of the reasons why I uninstalled my social media accounts, especially Facebook. I'd rather spend my time making some noise for some noise cash than spend my time on a useless app that doesn't even benefit me. By making some noise, I get to meet new people from all around the world and even become friends! I unexpectedly meet and encounter my bardagulan buddies on both noise and readcash platforms LOL.
**My Internet and Virtual Friends**
Meeting and knowing you guys is one of the best things that has happened in my life. I didn't regret anything at all. You guys helped me boost my confidence even more and make me a better person. You guys have taught me so many lessons. ***You all aren't just virtual friends; you guys are also part of my life***. To my Kuya Eddie/Tito @TengoLoTodo , who's also like a father to me here in read cash, to ate @Ruffa who didn't fail to make us laugh, to @WanderingMedStudent for being my bardagulan buddy lol, to my ate's here in read cash @FarmGirl @Bloghound @Yzza0625 @chelle02 @CoquiCoin @JRamona20 @Khing14 @Jane, @Eylz2021 @Theblackdoll . To @King_Gozie for his kind words that are full of lessons and realizations in life, to @Kristofferquincy, to my very kind friend @Princessbusayo . There are too many of you to name, but you already know who I'm talking about because everyone I interact with here is already a friend of mine!
**Noiseristificationism**
When I jumped into the Noiseristificationism telegram group, I didn't feel out of place. I felt like I'd been with them for so long because they treated me like they already knew me and I was already part of their friendship, and in just a day, I was already comfortable with them. How cool was that! I recall vividly when @carisdaneym2 and @immaryandmerry were the first two people who welcomed and upvoted my article on readcash. I received a warm welcome from them. My Noiseristificationism buddies, @Eunoia @ExpertWritter @Sequoia @BreadChamp @Klaid and many many more of you guys!
Thank you for being part of my 2021, you made my year more awesome!
And a special mention to langlang, @Corpsekunno you know I'm not into long sweet messages, haha, but I just wanted you to know that I'm forever thankful and grateful to you for introducing me to both platforms, even though at first I was hesitant because I thought it was a scam, LMAO.
To the admins, staff, and crews on both the noise and readcash platforms, you guys are also part of my 2021. You're one of the great people who made my 2021 a not-so-boring year. I may not know you personally, but coming from my humble heart, thank you for creating such a beneficial sites that gives so much help to everyone. May this site last forever, even though nothing lasts forever, but I hope it will last until the next generation, until our great-great grandchildren read our stories.
***2021 may not be a great year, but it's surely a memorable one.***
**Let's all welcome the year 2022 with a happy thoughts and positive mind. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE 🎉**

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE 🎉
Meeting you here is one of the best things that happened to my year 2021 that I will forever treasure.
Thank you my read cash buddies for being part of my year 2021! You guys are one of the reasons why my 2021 was full of fun and memorable one. Thank you, thank youuu ✨💕
At Last, I See The Light??..
Finally, After two weeks without power and water supply and having stayed in the dark with just the use of a flashlight and candles, at last, I finally be able to see the light.
Yesterday morning, the linemen came to our place to check the wires that had been damaged by typhoon Odette. They started early in the morning at 6 am, and it was very long work because they finished at 6 in the evening.
When we were about to have our candlelight dinner, lol, our uncle, who drove by our house, said that there was already electricity and the power supply was already okay, and we could now finally have lights. I was about to eat when my brother turned on the lights, and we were all like vampires who are afraid of lights. As the bulbs turned on, my eyes went into a total blackout. It literally hurts though, lol.
When you've gotten used to darkness and now that you already have lights, it feels like it's too bright lol. All of our eyes get so uncomfortable because it's literally too bright. We've gotten used to dim lights, and we're like fireflies that get affected by light pollution. Now we know what fireflies feel like with all the light pollution.
All of us immediately took out each of our chargers to charge our phones and gadgets. Some of my cousins who went to the charging station went home when they found out that the power supply was back, but they already paid 30 pesos for the charging station. All of us are happy, but not too happy because we know that maybe this power won't last long, just like the network coverage before, where it suddenly went back to normal for a day, but then the next day it went off again. So, we already learned our lesson about the network coverage, so we immediately charge everything that is needed and important.
My Lolo (grandpa) was so excited to watch the news on TV, but as we turned it on, there was no signal, no channels, nothing. I just told him that the main is not stable yet, that's why it has no signal and no channels available. We know that our grandpa already misses watching the news because that's what keeps him entertained all the time.
Aside from my Lolo, my brother was also excited to turn on our router, but as he turned it on, the same thing happened with the television: there was no network coverage, no signal. The wire that connects to the router was cut, so we asked the linemen if they were going to fix it, but they said that they were not responsible for fixing the router because it was the router's company's responsibility to fix it. So maybe it will take too long to fix the cable of our router. We'll just be sticking to mobile data.
But as I've said in the 4th paragraph, maybe just like the network coverage, it won't last long. And just as we predicted, it didn't really last long. Maybe they just turned it back so that we could have time to charge our phones. While I was writing this one, the light suddenly went off and my phone's battery was already at 38%. I was not able to charge my phone! As I was writing, I suddenly remembered that I was cooking rice for dinner in a rice cooker when the power went off, so I drove immediately to the kitchen to quickly transfer the rice to another bowl. We didn't have butane, so I quickly went outside to buy one, but I ended up buying coal instead because they also ran out of butane.
We knew that this was going to happen, but the timing was not the right timing. LOL.
But right now, at exactly 9:27 in the evening today, as I was about to tap the publish button, the power went back!
We're hoping that this won't be off again until next year so that we will no longer be celebrating our new year with candlelight because we already have electricity!
A huge shout out and thank you to our dearest line men for fixing our power back and for bringing lights to our house! Salute 🙌
***I'm hoping for a happy, colorful, and bright New Year!***
***Happy New Year, everyone!***

The Abuser and Manipulator
Everywhere we go, there are always this two types of people. No matter what, when and where, and even no matter what the situation is, these types of people are always on the go, abusing and manipulating the situation and the people.
In a situation where people are so much in need, it should be a time of helping hand. It should be a time where we need to help and pick up each other, not a time to manipulate the situation and do things that aren't suitable for the situation, especially if the people are affected by any calamity.
We know that the VisMin (Visayas and Mindanao) areas are highly affected by the typhoon Odette, especially the Visayas area, which has so much damage and is so much in need.
As the typhoon Odette strikes, there is so much damage in every area in each place: Cebu, Leyte, Surigao, and Siargao. After the typhoon, Cebu City, which is the place I live in, went into a total blackout. After the typhoon, the city turns into a ghost town. The city has so much damage, and what's worse is that it's also what the province faces. The whole city went off: no lights, no network coverage, and no water supply. As the houses went down, so did the power in the whole city.
People are now starting to hoard things that are desperately needed two days later, and those who are unable to purchase them are the ones who are left behind and have left nothing. I noticed that people who are rich or classy are the ones who can easily get access to whatever they want and the unfair treatment of lower class people. We know that the richer people are the ones being prioritized because they have the power to do so, through the power of money that they have.
There is no electricity, so the price of gasoline and kerosene went higher than usual. Two days later, all the gasoline stations were filled with crowded people wanting to buy gasoline. Each one of them brought gallons or even a larger container. At first, the price was just normal and hadn't changed yet, but then the next day it doubled the original price. The price went up to 130 PHP per liter. But still, no matter how high the price is, if it's needed, people will buy it no matter what. At first, a lot of people were complaining, but then later on, they just moved on and just bought it. The sad part is that people will buy more than 1 liter, and the people who will be the last won't get enough of what they need. They left none.
My uncle, who lives in the city, even went to our province just to buy gasoline. Imagine: if the province is crowded, how much more in the city?
I saw on certain news that a group of three people were caught selling overpriced gasoline. They sell it per liter. The gasoline is in huge containers, so you can really tell that they bought it at a gas station, or maybe they're pretending that they aren't one and then selling it to those people who couldn't get to a gas station. I felt a sense of relief when I read the word "got caught" in the news. They deserve it because what they did was not a good thing, especially since all of us are affected and need to do something to survive.
Aside from gasoline, candles are also one of the things that are needed the most since we don't have electricity. But there will always be the abuser type of person. They abuse their power and use the opportunity to manipulate the people. Some candle sellers are just so evil for selling candles that are way too expensive. The tiny candle that was only worth 5 PHP before is now sold for 15 PHP. It's even tripled its price, and it's so small, literally. But as what I've said, no matter how expensive it is, people will be forced to buy those things because they badly need them.
But, as for us, we made DIY candles out of oil and salt, and we've already saved a buck. It's way better than the overpriced one.
I still don't get it why there are still some people who have the guts to be greedy in this worst kind of situation.
In this kind of situation, we all should help each other. It's the time where we set aside the bad things in each one of us and give more focus to helping each other stand up. This isn't the time for competition and bragging; it's the time to lend a helping hand to each other.

Day 1: The Blue Sky After The Storm
***December 17, 2021***
***Friday***
[ I've been writing this after the incident happened, so it has been staying in my notes for a week already so I decided to just publish this one. I couldn't write everyday because the network coverage is not stable. Honestly, I'm writing this one way before the network connection went off. And to my surprise, the network is still On and I wouldn't miss this chance to publish right away this thing that's been chilling in my notes for 10 days already ]
We awoke to the light of the sun on our faces.I rubbed my eyes and blinked twice as I thought to myself, "At last, finally the sun showed up." Seeing this light gives us hope that finally the storm has left as the sky is clear and as blue as the sea. I went outside and witnessed the devastating view of our surroundings. This was the day after the typhoon Odette washed all those things that were blocking her way. We can't imagine how much damage the typhoon Odette has caused. Everything's down.
My cousins and I went to the streets to see and look at how much damage Odette had caused. The rain isn't strong, but the wind is stronger than the rain. All the trees and houses are all down. When we reached the streets, the roads were blocked by lots of trees everywhere. Barangay Tanod and other civilians lend a helping hand to clean and remove the tree trunks and logs that are blocking the road. We went to the highway, and just like the other streets, the highway was also blocked by an enormous mango tree. The big, old mango beside the road was also destroyed by Odette, and it's blocking the road. Four-wheeler trucks could not even pass, and only motorcycles could pass.
Lampposts and transformers were also down, and some even exploded. Electric wires are scattered everywhere on the road. You'll hear the sounds of chainsaws everywhere, cutting trunks and logs. What we saw on the road was truly devastating. All of us in our town were shocked, as we didn't expect this thing to happen. This is the first time ever that a typhoon has caused so much damage here in our place. Because mostly, Cebu City does not usually get hit by typhoons. And if it does, it'll be only a little one.
We couldn't help but feel saddened by what we saw. The houses that were ruined and the roads that have been blocked If you walk on the road, you can only see a few houses that are still standing and complete. And because only a few trees are left standing, you can totally see all the houses everywhere. Everything has become clear and wiped out.
We live in an area where it was covered with lots of trees, but after the storm, everything now is so clear.
This is what it looks like, the before and after of the acacia tree that I always took some photos of and posted on noise cash. This is an old tree, one that is older than my mother, and I guess this is the typhoon that caused more damage to it.
Before, its leaves were so green, healthy, and alive. This tree was so large that when it was sunny, it covered a large portion of its underside.
Following that, after the typhoon strikes, this is now what it looks like. It looks like half of it has vanished already. The sad part was also that under it was the laboratory, the school's laboratory. And half of the roof is gone because of the huge part of the tree that fell on it.
The Cebu IT Park
Have you notice? That the media is not that active? I mean, unlike the past typhoons that hits Philippines, everyone is so busy with the media who are updating non-stop. But right now, it seems so quiet, even our relatives who lives abroad didn't get much news and updates about the typhoon Odette.
**Jini's Note:**
Please bear with me if I publish stuff like this. You know, we didn't have network coverage for a week, and all I did was just literally write an article every day. I couldn't post an update or even have access to the internet. We don't even have power or water, so to ease the boredom, I just wrote an article about our daily lives after the storm. And also, this also serves as my diary, so that if ever this platform lasts longer than we expected, I will still get to read this article of mine in the near future.
Thank you for passing by and spending your time reading this article of mine. I truly appreciate your presence here.

Day 9: Celebrating Christmas in The Dark
***December 25, 2021***
***Saturday***
*No matter what the situation is, the Christmas spirit will always be in our hearts.*
*We always find ways to celebrate Christmas 🎄*
The best thing about being a Filipino **(Bisaya)** is that we always have this smile on our faces that never fades, no matter what the situation is. Whether we get hit by a typhoon or any calamity, we may cry for a second, but later on, we must move on and smile because it has already happened and we must face the new day ahead.
Just like us, there's no such thing as "boring" when it comes to our family, especially my cousins. If you've read my other articles about my cousins, then you know how much fun it is to be with them. We do fun and stupid things just to keep us entertained and happy.
We may celebrate Christmas in the dark with candlelight on, without electricity, but our Christmas is never boring at all. We still get to be able to do a lot of Christmas activities and fun games even though there's no network coverage and electricity. It feels like we're back to the good old days. Simple but full of fun, celebrate it with the whole family.
***December 24, 2021***
In the morning, we had already prepared the food. Actually, we didn't prepare that many foods; just chicken and spaghetti, and the rest is just that we bought them. We wanted to make dessert, especially mango float and fruit salad, but we couldn't because the refrigerator was not on because there was no electricity, and it doesn't taste good if it's not cold, or at least frozen a little. I mean, imagine eating an unfrozen mango float, lol.
At 4 in the afternoon, we already ate the food that we had cooked. We don't have a choice but to eat them because if we wait until midnight, they might get spoiled, and also, it will be dark and we're only using candle lights and cellphone flashlights.
Then at 7pm, we didn't get to attend the mass because of the rain. It rained heavily, along with thunder and lightning. We got a little worried at that time because they said that there would be another strong storm coming, and it sucks because it was Christmas Eve and there would be a storm coming. But thank goodness the rain didn't last long and it stopped.
We, my cousins, did a pizza party. All of us chipped in to buy a pizza. Our Bantayan Island trip got canceled because of the situation that we're in right now. We were planning to have a Christmas party, but that got canceled too because there's no electricity or water. We always had our Christmas party at night. So we decided to just cancel everything because there are still lots of things we need to prioritize and also, there are still a lot of next opportunities to make it happen. If typhoon Odette hadn't struck, we might be packing right now on the way to Bantayan.
At 8 pm, my sister and my cousin arrived. They were the ones who bought the pizza. They bought, of course, their favorite drinks. A night with all of my cousins wouldn't be complete without a drink.
This is how we celebrate Christmas. A total blackout, with only a little light from each of our phones' flashlights. But my cousin has his solar lights and it helps make the room look more visible.
Just a simple Christmas celebration with my cousins. My cousin played the guitar and we jam into different songs and it was a total fun!
***December 25,***
We played BINGO!
My cousin bought a Bingo game cards, we played 2 pesos per card. It's a just for fun and there are no other people around, it's just us. This was supposed to be played by us, young ones, cousins, but all of a sudden my mom, our uncles and even our grandma joined in! Haha.
Look at the lights that we used lol, each of us has our own flashlights just to see the cards properly. We made DIY lights with the used of oil and salt. That's the light that we put in the middle.
Just need to refill the oil when its already drained. It's a great one and way cheaper than buying candles that are overpriced. Teehee.
*Even without water and electricity, we can still be happy.*
***Christmas is never boring when it comes to us. ❣️***
***Jini's Note:***
I hope you guys understand my situation if I couldn't visit you and read some of your articles, our phones battery is very limited because we don't have electricity until now. We need to pay 30Pesos for them to allow us to charge our phone. In our place, there are only few who has generators so we really need to use our phones battery wisely.

The Wrath Of Odette
***December 16, 2021***
***Thursday***
***9:20 PM***
Your anger, your screams, we heard it all. The way you blew everything that got into you, we saw it all. Your vengeful screams keep us awake. We're freezing and crying, witnessing your wrath.
This was the first time we experienced this one. Although we have experienced being hit by a typhoon many times, it's not as damaging as this. Cebu City was always safe whenever there was a calamity. Every super typhoon will only cause a little storm but it won't cause so much damage. Cebu City was always safe when it comes to disasters and calamities. But this super typhoon that hit us last night was way stronger than we expected.
We live in a higher area of town than most, so when there is a major flood, we don't always get flooded. And also, our area is filled with big houses, which are mostly two-story houses. That's why the wind is not that strong when it hits us.
It was Monday when the neverending rain started pouring. It was still okay because it doesn't have a strong wind yet, so we're comfortable with it. Not until Thursday, when the weather forecast center announced that supertyphoon Odette would make landfall in Bohol at 8 p.m.The problem is that it's slower than the other typhoon before. It traveled at 20 kph with a strong wind of 140 kph. That's why it caused so much damage.
It was 3 in the afternoon when we started to feel the very strong wind. The rain was not that heavy, but the wind was. At exactly 5 in the afternoon, while I was reading articles on my laptop, the electricity went off. The same thing with the water. The problem is that I haven't charged my phone and the battery percentage was only 67%. That's why I really need to use my phone wisely so that it won't drain my battery right away.
The wind began hitting us so strongly, along with the rain. That's when all of us started to panic because of how strong the wind was. It was no longer an ordinary typhoon. We even got more panicked when the roof of our room started to crack as the wind kept hitting it. The rain water was already in our bedroom because of the crack in our roof, and our bed was all wet. Everything was already wet. We then started moving all our stuff to our grandparents' house, which is just right beside our house. As we moved our stuff, the crack in our roof got bigger and bigger as the wind kept on hitting it. Our bedroom almost became a swimming pool.
At 7 in the evening, the wind gets even stronger and stronger as the time passes by. We're staying on the terrace, watching how the wind broke down all the trees everywhere. It was 9 p.m. when we heard a loud bang in our house, and the first thing I thought of was that it was the roof in our room. Based on how we heard the loud bang, the roof was already open.
My cousins and my uncles were just watching outside on the terrace in case there was some debris from fallen objects. My other cousins were also the ones who rescued our cousins who lived not far from our house. They need to be rescued because they have a 1-year-old baby and their house is not strong enough. My cousin, along with my other cousin's boyfriend, was the one rescuing our relatives with the use of a motorcycle. They couldn't pass on the road because it was already blocked by huge trees. They were not able to rescue my aunt, who was left all alone in their house, because even the single motorcycle couldn't pass the road because everything was blocked.
We switch places with my sister to look out for the kids. I sometimes peek outside to see what is happening. If you walk outside, you will surely get blown by the wind too. I couldn't sleep. I even forgot that I hadn't eaten dinner yet. I didn't even feel hungry at all because my mind was preoccupied with the typhoon. One thing that keeps us all awake is the transformer in front of the house. It's an old transformer, and we're worried that it might fall right on the house.
We're also worried about the animals and our pets, especially the love birds that were on the terrace. The fish were just left where they were, at the back of the house. Max and Slogo were staying at my aunt's house.
Then, exactly at 11pm, the wind and rain finally stopped. But it's not finished yet as it was just the middle of it. At that time, we were already at the eye of the storm, which is why it stopped for an hour. I was able to sleep for a few minutes, then later on got awakened by the very loud sound of the wind at 1 am. I only had 3 hours of sleep at that time. I don't know why, but I didn't get tired at all.
That was really a traumatizing experience to all of us here. Feels like we experienced what other places have had experience before and we don't want it to happen again.
Nature truly is amazing and powerful. It brings a beautiful disaster that everyone should keep an eye on. Never belittle nature, because once it strikes back, it is worse than you expected it to be.
**Jini's Note**
My apologies if all of a sudden I went missing in action for how many days. I apologize if I was not able to visit and read your articles and became inactive. After the typhoon Odette strikes, we lost our internet connection then for a few seconds there was already no network coverage, all networks. And for the last time I was able to post an update on noise cash and that was my last update and I guess it was December 17.
We traveled few kilometers and even climb to the roof just to get a signal or network coverage. And luckily I was able to get access and post an update in here. Until now we still don't have electricity and no network coverage but we're all safe and we're doing fine in here. Thanks for your concerns.
I hope you guys still know me hahaha lol
Thank you for staying ❣️
No More Raindrops on Christmas Please
***Hey there! Hows it going?***
This morning, I woke up so early that it was because I was awakened by a strong, heavy rain and a very cold breeze. Actually, I was woken by the very loud sound of the rain hitting our roof, and it was still 2 am. That's when I remember that the rain started getting stronger and stronger. Thankfully, I was still able to go back to sleep. Then again, I woke up at 5 am for the same reason. I got off of bed and decided to have some hot chocolate to warm myself up and some biscuits. The rain hasn't stopped yet, and when I took a peek outside, everything was in a total mess because of last night's heavy rain along with strong wind.
The PAG-ASA weather update said that there will be a strong typhoon entering the PAR Philippine Area of Responsibility and requested everyone to be prepared and evacuate as soon as possible because this will be a strong typhoon. Especially those people living in coastal areas who face the possibility of getting hit by enormous waves and strong winds. The typhoon was called "Odette." The Mindanao and Visayas regions will be most affected by the typhoon, especially in the eastern Visayas.
We were supposed to have an exam today in our foreign language, which is Korean, but luckily our teacher cancelled the exam because of the typhoon. I was thankful that it got canceled because I didn't study a single thing about it. Lol
At 9 a.m. in the morning, the rain hasn't stopped yet, and it's still pouring moderately but not that heavily. My sister then called to say that they would be staying in our house, but I suggested that it would be better if they stayed at our grandparents' house because it has two rooms that are vacant. My sister, who just got her baby, Our mom wanted her to be here for the meantime until the typhoon disappeared. It's because she's just alone in their house with her two young boys and her little baby girl. Her husband works in the city and only goes back home once a week
Even though I hate it when they're here because of her kids, lol my nephews, I just let it pass. It's also because of the huge storm coming and for everyone's safety. The reason why I hate it whenever they're here is because my nephews are so annoying.
In the afternoon, between 1-2 pm, I took a peek outside to see if it was already clear since we heard that the rain had started slowing. I went outside with my umbrella and checked my mom's garden. When I saw her garden, I noticed that one of her plants had gotten broken because some of the tree's debris flew and landed on her precious plant. I didn't spend much time outside because I noticed that the rain started to drop huge raindrops again, so I went inside as quickly as possible so I wouldn't get wet, because it was so freaking cold. Before running inside, I took a quick photo of one of my mom's precious plants.
The rain will only stop for like a few seconds, and then anytime it'll rain heavily again. At exactly 4 p.m., I was on my grandparents' terrace, playing with a Rubik's cube, when suddenly, sunlight hit my face. It was still raining and the sky was still a bit dark. And when I look at the sunlight's direction, there I see a little hole in the clouds with Mr. Sun peeking through it. But then, a few minutes later, the dark clouds covered it up again. I was overjoyed when the sun appeared, even if only for a few minutes.
And since that time, until this time, the rain hasn't stopped pouring so heavily. I do hope it won't rain in the morning because tomorrow will be the first night of "***Simbang Gabi***" and I'm sure there will be a lot of people attending the mass as usual.
We all know that Christmas wouldn't be complete without a storm, because we know that December is a month full of typhoons, and I guess we've gotten used to it already. We just hope that there will be no more rainy days on Christmas Day.

Whenever I See Girls and Boys...
***Whenever I see girls and boys***
***and the girls and boys see me...***
***I remember the child***
***and the child remembers me... LOL***
Christmas time is fast approaching, and we only have 10 more days left until Christmas! How fast was that? It's like the blink of an eye. Have you noticed, or am I the only one who has noticed, that days and times are getting shorter and shorter? Why is it that January and December feel so short? It's like a whole week. Have you bought gifts for your kids and godchildren yet? Because if you ask me if I have, well, I haven't yet. I still don't have a budget though. I was still hoping for the BCH to pump so that I could have a budget for it. Well, I know they can still understand if I couldn't give gifts to them.
I mean, to be honest. Godparents aren't obliged to give gifts every Christmas. It's just that people misunderstand the purpose of what the godparents are to the kids. Godparents are supposed to be the ones to guide the kids. It serves as the second parent for the kids. It's just so funny to think that I have noticed from other people that the kids aren't the ones asking for a gift, but instead the parents. Like, wth? What makes it even funnier is that the parents are more demanding, asking for a specific gift to be given for their child, even though some godparents couldn't afford it. Uhm, wth, can't you just be thankful?
LoL, enough with the gift thingy, and let's move forward. I will be sharing with you guys those awesome memories I had every Christmas days! I know there will be some of you here who have had experience the same thing as I experienced when I was a kid. I mean, I guess most or some Filipino peeps does the same thing every Christmas.
Christmas is every kid's most awaited holiday of the year. It's because this is the time when they can have and receive their Christmas gifts from their loved ones. I grew up getting used to receiving gifts every Christmas, and what makes me even more like Christmas is that most of the gifts I receive aren't wrapped in a box, but instead they're slid into a small red envelope called "*ang pao*". That's why I really loved Christmas before because I got to earn lots of money from my aunts and uncles. But, you know as a kid, mom will then use her technique and say, "*Let me keep that money for you so that you're not gonna lose it*."
https://images.news18.com/ibnlive/uploads/2021/09/untitled-design-87.jpg
Even without tools or equipment, we Filipinos enjoy caroling and singing from house to house. We sometimes just improvise with the equipment we'll be utilizing, and because we're innovative, we do a fantastic job with our caroling equipment. Even before the BER months arrive, we'll be plotting the caroling and deciding which house to target because the bigger the house, the more money they give. We'll make a tambourine out of bottle caps and drums out of a small bucket. We can already sing from house to house with just those in our hands. We have techniques to make a lot of money from occasionally. We'll divide ourselves into two groups, with the first group going to the big mansion and the second group doing the same, and our money will be doubled!
But sometimes, we couldn't help it not to encounter rude people. People who don't give a single penny and some people who won't even let you finish the song.
But now that I'm older, I finally understand why some people close their doors when they hear some people caroling near their house. When I was a kid, we sang Christmas carols to that certain house, and then they closed their house and said "No" to us. We were really pissed off by them. But now that I'm old enough, I finally understand them. LOL.
The funny thing is that I also did the same thing that those rude people did to us before. Every time I hear someone start singing, even if it's two houses away from our house, I will close the door and pretend that no one is home. LOL. You know, I am always home alone every day. The worst thing is that I started to become exactly like what those people did to us. When they are heading towards our house, I will automatically say "Pikas lang," meaning "to the other house." But I'm not always like this, because I know you guys will automatically think how rude I was. I am not. I will only do this if I don't have some extra money and know that I am always home alone. So, that's why.

There was this one time that our Christmas decorations literally lasted a year! even our Christmas tree. I keep telling my mom why she didn't keep those decorations since it's no longer Christmas. And the only thing that she will say is, "***Why to bother putting those back in a box when you're just going to put them back again?***" And I was like, "*Well, yeah, she's got a point*." LOL. I can really tell where I got this attitude of mine. HAHA

Men Hide Their Weakest Side
Men are known for being strong and self-sufficient, and they are always expected to be tough because that is how society perceives them. Boys will not cry because boys are tough and they're supposed to remain tough. Those are just the words that we commonly hear every time when it comes to men. That is why most men can't tell, share, or even express their emotions towards someone. Men are really good at hiding their emotions and pretending to look fine as if nothing had happened. They're good at wearing happy and jolly mask that covers up their sad and depressed faces.
Men are less likely to discuss or seek help for their mental health problems as a result of societal expectations and traditional gender roles. We know that gender stereotypes about women, such as the expectation that they should act or appear a specific way, can be hurtful to them. It's important to remember, however, that stereotypes and expectations can hurt men as well.
Men are usually expected and provide for their families and to be powerful, authoritative, and in command. While none of these qualities are particularly negative, they might make it increasingly challenging for men to seek treatment and open up.

Male suicide rates are ten times higher than female suicide rates. At least a hundred men die of suicide every day, especially in the year 2020, when the lockdown was implemented. The worst part is that these days, teenage males from ages 16 to 19 are most likely to have suicidal thoughts because of the problems that most students are facing today.
Kurt Cobain of the band Nirvana and Chester Bennington, of the band Linkin Park both, died of suicide. Chester died of suicide in July 2017. Who would have thought that before his death, he was so happy, along with his family.

Men are very good at hiding their emotions, you can't even tell what they truly felt because of how they carry themselves in public. Depression really is a traitor; one day you're fine and the next day you're not.
I asked one of my boy friends (friend) about how men manage their mental health and how they overcome it. At first, he was hesitant to share, but later on, he decided to share everything with me. Most men do not usually like to share their feelings with someone or even speak up about how they feel, because most of them get ignored and rejected by the thought of just wanting some attention. My friend then said that I was the first person that he shared his problem with because he hadn't done it for so long. He's not the type of person who is showy and expressive with his emotions, but you can tell that deep inside he's not really okay.
Some men are just too afraid to express how they feel. They don't want to be judged for being too soft because we know that people do really judge right away whenever they see some guy crying over something or just being too soft. People will automatically judge them as gay. That's how cruel society is.
In fact, men are more emotional compared to women; it's just that women are more expressive and men aren't. If you notice that whenever a cute and sexy girl shares her problems on social media, a lot of people will comfort her and show sympathy towards her, but if a dude does the same thing, people will just ignore it and even call him gay for sharing their problems.
***Although men may be tough, but they're fragile too.***

Too Much Excitement Leads To Disappointment
What would you feel if what you had expected didn't turn out exactly as you expected it to be? It's really disappointing, especially if you've been waiting or aiming for it for days or years, but with just a single snap, it didn't happen.
https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/599/778/765.jpg
Way back in my toxic self, I have always been so disappointed in my whole life. I am the type of person who expects too much from anything. My toxicity before was immeasurable. I was so toxic that I would literally do anything to get what I wanted, even if it meant causing trouble for someone, especially when it comes to acads. I have shared before here how competitive I was. I am a perfectionist type of person and a competitive one. One time, we had a quiz bowl, and I was the leader. I got so excited because I was so overconfident in myself that I thought I could easily answer everything. My excitement led to disappointment because we ended up being in third place instead of being the first one. I was so mad at myself at that time because I was expecting that we would get that first spot. That's how toxic I was before. That's how fcked up my attitude was. Every time I recall a detail about my toxic self from the past, I cringe.

**Too much expectation...**
I have once shared here that we will be planning a three-day stay in Bantayan Island with all of my cousins after Christmas. That is why my other two cousins started to sell street foods, as I have posted here. All of us here have been saving so much money just to be able to have a budget for that trip. The budget was a bit pricy since it was a three-day trip. Honestly, we have been planning this trip for a year already. It was our grandfather's birthday, so it was last September and until today. So we really have a lot of time to save and earn money as much as possible.
They had already booked an apartment and had it reserved for us by the end of December. But then, all of a sudden, the owner of the apartelle decided to cancel all of the reservations, not just us, but every reservation in their rooms. We don't know what her reason was for cancelling all those reservations, because she didn't say a word about it.
Then they started looking for an apartment that was the same price or cheaper than the previous one we had gotten, but the cheaper ones were all fully booked and they had no choice but to pick the one that was a bit pricy. Some agreed, and some didn't agree with the price, because it was more expensive. They've been contacting from one Facebook page to another. They had a little disagreement about choosing an apartment because of its price. My uncle, who was the one who decided on this trip, was the one that we always needed to inform whether he liked it or not, but most of the recommendations suggestions that have been given to him don't suit his tastes and he doesn't like it. They've been having disagreements all over again, to the point where the conversation went to ***"maybe should we just cancel the trip?"*** and everyone went silent.
All of them are excited. They have already bought the things that they needed. They even bought beach shirts, shorts, and everything, but with just a single reply. All of them turned into dead beans. Their excitement went from 100% to 5%.
But I, myself, am not that affected at all, though a little disappointed, just a little LOL. You know why? It's because I've been worried about my budget because of the dip and the unstable value of it. And it would be okay if I was the only one that needed to spend, but there are two of us, including my younger brother. I will be the one paying for everything for both of us. So, part of me is happy, and the other part is sad. Maybe my uncle's mind will still change and he will decide to just go on with it. Well, whether he likes it or not, or whether he's coming or not, I guess these cousins of mine would still go for it. Those bikinis that they've bought would not be used if they weren't going to go. HAHA.
***Too much excitement leads to disappointment. We ended up unhappy and disappointed because we expect too much from it.***

Red Day in Rainy Days
***Red Market***
***Red Days***
***Rainy Days***
I feel like I've been cursed this day. It's like I've been hit three times. Triple kill I guess. LOL.
I wonder why my tummy hurt so badly last night. I thought it was just because I was so full from my dinner. That's why it hurts. But little did I know that it was already the beginning of my hell days. When I woke up this morning, I felt so tired, but my tummy already felt okay, so I didn't mind at all. When I got off my bed, I almost collapsed, and I even lost my vision for a second, and it literally freaked me out. I've been rubbing and blinking my eyes for a couple of seconds, and I even said, "Thank you, Lord," when I got my vision back. I was literally scared. It scared me to death. You know what, I'd rather lose my limbs than lose my vision. lol. Because losing your vision feels like you're already dead.
https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRhc7gLHZFNHu_uLJOq_Whq1amR5MD2s1qXYw&usqp=CAU
I have shared before that I don't get period cramps. It only appears once every blue moon. Every time I have a period, it just feels normal to me because I don't literally feel a thing, except for the flow of blood in between my thighs. That's the only thing I feel. Maybe I only get period cramps once a year or none at all. That's why I am so carefree whenever I'm on my period, also depending on the flow of the river, whether it's a strong current or just a peaceful flow.
Let me share with you a little throwback from back when I was in high school. Have you ever gotten period stains during your high school days? I guess most of the girls experienced this one. As for me, mine was a very memorable one. If you've read my other articles before, you know that I was one of the boys in class because most of my friends are all boys. I was in 8th grade at the time when I got period stains. I literally looked like I'd been shot or stabbed because there was too much blood in my skirt, not just a small blood stain, but literally, the whole back of my skirt was covered with red. You know what's more memorable? When two of my boy friends (**friends**) bought me a pad at the school canteen, they went together. And I asked them if they weren't embarrassed about buying pads. And they answered me with, "Why would we get embarrassed when there's nothing wrong with it?" It's a girl's need and we're not the ones who're going to use it, so there's nothing to be ashamed of. " And I was like, "Awe, I'm so lucky I made friends with these dudes."
Mine only appeared this morning, right when I got off the bed. I can feel the dragon breathing fire in between my thighs. I look like a drunk fox crawling on my way to the comfort room. When my mother saw me, she wondered what was wrong with me, and when I told her I was dizzy and my head hurt, she was taken aback. Do you know what she said to me? You already know what it is.
I know this happens to me only once every blue moon, but honestly, this isn't the right time. I wasn't prepared for this. I mean, I didn't see this coming. My body gets weaker and weaker to the point that I can no longer move an inch. I just stayed in one position where I felt comfortable. I just stayed in bed until my sister's children went over. Instead of getting pissed, I just hang out with them and we even watched some movies in my room. You know what, I am so weird, or I guess mine's the opposite because some girls get mad when they're on their period, but as for me, I am the opposite. I became an angel and a very good aunt to my nephews and nieces. I'm not even kidding. Seriously. Haha
And just this afternoon, I am now fully okay. I am fine now. No more annoying pain. I just ate dried mangoes and the pain is gone. Everything is fine. LOL. I was able to write this one right now because I am already feeling good and it is just a normal day for me, except early in the morning which I was cursed for an hour.

LSS (Last Song Syndrome)
Have you ever heard a song that you didn't expect to like? And all of a sudden, it keeps playing on repeat in your head, and you can't just stop it from appearing in your head to the point that you just listened to it playing on repeat. And you just keep on singing over and over again. And found yourself liking that song.
That's what they called it. **LSS** (*Last Song Syndrome*). It is a situation when you can't get a song that you listened to out of your head and you keep singing it over and over.
Lately, I've been listening to Justin Bieber's song on repeat. Then I got to hear Chayoung's cover of Justin's song, which made me even more in love with the song. Chayoung from Twice Kpop group made a cover of Justin Bieber's song "Off My Face" and it was totally a perfect song that suits Chae's voice.
https://youtu.be/8vhhTUvRSZM
When I first heard it, I suddenly fell in love with the song even more. It's also because of Chayoung's voice, which makes the song even more lovely. Imagine, a rapper could sing a lovely song like this with a soft voice.
As I was scrolling through YouTube, I saw a fan-made edit of Justin Bieber's live video of him performing "Off My Face" and Chayoung's cover. The edit was so lit I couldn't even figure out if it was truly an edited version. It even has more views than Chayoung's cover. Many people fell in love with the edited versions of them, including me. When you heard it, it was perfectly edited. The blending of their voices and the melody of the song was all perfect. I was in awe of whoever edited the music video. He or she did a magnificent job.
https://youtu.be/MGKMUNar9Sg
This song just couldn't get off my head. It keeps playing on repeat. Even though I wasn't thinking of it, I just suddenly hear myself singing every freaking time. I couldn't help it.
Or maybe because of their voices and the lyrics of the song, that's why I was captivated by it.
But you know what? There is this song that won't just get out of my head, it stays there and it sticks through my brain and nerves. I've been hearing this one all over, no matter where I go, I heard other people singing this all of a sudden. My cousins and my siblings as well keeps on playing this. You know I don't have TikTok but I still get to know what song is this because of my siblings and people around me, they all have TikTok except me. And to tell you honestly, I was the only one who doesn't have a TikTok app in here, all of my cousins and siblings already have.
That's why, whatever the new trend is, I still get to know what it is because of the people around me that are so updated with the new trend. The song that keeps on popping in my head is this one
***Helikopter Helikopter 🚁🎶***
https://youtu.be/pUyaI_TsG-o
And it's so annoying because I couldn't get this song out of my head. What's worse is that everytime I see something that spins, I will automatically sing "*Helikopter Helikopter*" ROFL.
I know some of you guys don't have any idea of what song I'm referring to, especially my non-Asian friends. But I'm pretty sure that those who have TikTok know what I'm referring to and can probably relate to this.
This became a meme song. If you guys know what "Rick rolled" is, then this is second to Rick rolled.

The Most Wonderful Time of The Year
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is the season of giving and forgiving. Forgiving those people who have hurt us and giving love and peace to everyone. Ever since I was a kid, I grew up expecting gifts every Christmas day. As long as it's the month of December, I will already be expecting some gifts because I got used to receiving gifts from my godparents and my aunts and uncles. But as what they've said, the older you get, the fewer the gifts you receive. And it's quite true tho. lol
But for today's article, I will be a virtual Santa and give gifts to my awesome people on this platform! There are lots of you, and it'll definitely take me until tomorrow if I mention each one of you guys. You already know who you are, my fabulous buddies!
This is my entry for ate Cocola @CoquiCoin's **#ThePerfectGiftChallenge2021** **.** This is a great way for us to get to know each other more on this platform. Even though this is just a virtual kind of giving, it feels like it's real. This is so much fun! And if you guys haven't created an entry yet for this challenge, you guys better start writing now because tomorrow, Dec. 9, will be its deadline and also ate Cocola's birthday! https://read.cash/@CoquiCoin/the-perfect-gift-challenge-53c92110
So without further ado, let me start giving gifts to my super duper awesome read cash buddies! I really hope you guys will like the gift that I have prepared for you.
**Tagalog- English Dictionary and a Mini Jeepney**
@TengoLoTodo
The dictionary was the first thing that came to my mind when I thought of giving a gift to Kuya Eddie. Because we all know that Kuya Ed really loves to explore and learn different Tagalog phrases and words, and not just Tagalog but Bisaya as well, which makes it even more awesome! I'll be giving Kuya Ed this dictionary because I am pretty sure that it will help Kuya Ed more in learning and enhancing his Tagalog words so that we can casually talk in Tagalog or Bisaya with Kuya Ed. HAHA. The mini jeepney will serve as Kuya Eddie's Filipino friends here on this platform, so that if ever this platform does not last longer than we expected, he can just look at the jeepney and think of us, his Filipino friends that he met on this platform.
**Peyote Succulents**
https://easysucculents.com/assets/resized/img/posts/expensive-succulents-list/peyote-800x600.jpg
@Eylz2021
The first thing that I thought of giving ate Elyz as a gift was a plant, because I know that she loves plants and she's a plantita hehe. I thought of giving her a Peyote succulent as my gift to her. I find this succulent beautiful and unique because it's like a ball with a little pretty flower on it. Isn't it cute? This will be added to ate eylz's new collection!
**Kakashi Hatake Action Figure**
https://i.pinimg.com/736x/94/c9/17/94c917b4508974f914ee4c9405e543d3.jpg
@Ruffa
For ate ruffa's gift. Since I couldn't get you a real-life Kakashi Hatake, I will just give this action figure of Kakashi to you. I can't exactly specify which husbando I should give to you because you have A LOT of husbando who don't exist. Ouch :( I just thought of Kakashi because he's the hottest and coolest sensei ever. He may be a fictional character who doesn't exist, but at least you get to see him at anytime just by staring at this. *(baka bigla ka nalang kiligin kapag tinitigan mo si Kakashi ate ah)* LOL
**5SOS Concert Tickets!**
https://images.bubbleup.com/vipnation/1-default/2-vipnationcom/5sos_no_shame_2100x640_1637692282.jpg
@Corpsekunno
Ah, yes! 5sos concert tickets for the both of us! Corpsekunno and I are both "5sos Fam," which means fans of 5 Seconds of Summer. Since we weren't able to attend the concert of 5sos when they were here in the Philippines twice, then this would be the perfect gift, not just for the corpse but for me also. This isn't just a Christmas gift, but a birthday gift as well. The concert will be in April, and it is also the month of our birthday! This will also serve as my birthday gift to her. We will be going to the UK to attend the Five SOS tour. This would totally be the best birthday gift ever!
**Work Out Tools and Equipment**
@WanderingMedStudent
Workout tools and equipment for my marecakes! I notice that he's giving more focus and determination to his workout and achieving his body goal. So, the thing that I thought of was these workout tools in order for him to perform his exercise well. I was planning to give you bois marecakes, but then I remembered that I cannot wrap and put someone in a box and deliver it to your house, so I just decided to give this instead. I am sure you will like this one because you can now exercise more and achieve that sexy bigger butt that you desire. (Pass muna sa bois, magagalit si Santa) HAHAHA
***Gifts don't need to be so expensive. What matters is that it is a sincere gift with love, no matter what and how simple it is, even if it's not that expensive compared to others.***
**Jini's Note:**
To my other read cash friends on this platform, you guys are all awesome. Sorry if I couldn't mention you all, but you know how thankful I am for knowing and meeting you here.

What The Oldies Want My Partner To Be Like
Happy choose day my dearest read cash buddies! I hope you do all had a great day today.
My brother and I are planning to get vaccinated today because we badly need it for school since they said that face-to-face classes will start to open next year and we both don't want to skip school just because we're unvaccinated. We woke up early because our mum told us to and wanted us to have an early spot in the line. We arrived at 7 AM and as we got to the place, we were shocked at how crowded the area was. Yes, we already expected that there would be a lot of people, but we didn't expect that it would turn out like this. The crowd has gone crazy, social distancing is no longer implemented, and there are even some people not wearing masks. A lot of people have gone mad because they've been falling in line since the sun hasn't shown up, but until now they haven't gotten their vaccine because the newcomers were the ones getting the vaccine first, which caused the commotion. My brother and I decided to go home and be back on Friday, hoping that it would not be the same as what happened today.
Every typical Filipino parents be like (except my parents) : *" You are our precious gem and you will marry a foreign guy and live a better life."* HAHAHA
Did your parents or relatives ever say those words to you? At every family gathering, there is always that one relative or aunt who will ask you if you are in a relationship. Why is that?
I like family gatherings and I hate them at the same time. It's because all of your relatives will be around and talk about lots of random stuff like school, career, and the future. And I hate it. It irritates me whenever they mention it or when they talk about me. Whenever we have family gatherings, I avoid approaching my professional aunts and uncles because they will immediately start talking about my career and what path I should be pursuing. Like, c'mon guys. LOL.
And aside from that, the most common question that you will get from your relatives at every family gathering is the question, "Do you have a boyfriend?" "Who's your boyfriend?" Sometimes I just get along with that and make fun of it. I even made fun of them by telling them that I don't have a boyfriend but I do have a girlfriend, and their reactions were so funny! And they're like, "What the heck, you're a lesbian?" and I was like, "Yes, I am." And their reactions are worth laughing at.
My nanay, who is my grandma's cousin, would always tell me this line: *"You're so pretty, you really meant to marry a foreign guy with blue eyes and have a very pretty baby and live a happy family life."* Every time she said these words to me, I would just laugh. And sometimes I asked her, *"Why do I have to marry a blue-eyed guy?"*. She will answer me with something like, "you have to marry a blue-eyed guy so that we can have a foreign grandchild, just like your aunt, who married an Australian, but sadly, they still do not have a child. Maybe you'll be the first one to bring us a baby foreign child. " All I did was laugh at her. I thought to myself, I don't even like having a kid. I hate kids, how much more having one? LMAO.
But maybe in the future, when I am old enough, I'll find someone that I truly like and end up getting married and having kids. We wouldn't know and we couldn't predict what the future would be like.
Why do most old folks think this way? I mean, not just the oldies, but most of our other Filipino relatives too. I hate the thought that they always say that marrying a foreign guy can take you out of poverty. Such a toxic mindset. Like, what the heck? If you work hard enough, then you will get yourself out of poverty and can't just depend on someone else.
Why is it that most Filipinos think that way? It is too sad to think that most of our fellow Filipino people would also be the ones to talk sht about other filipino people marrying non-Filipino people. Hays.

Why My Mum Is Not A Strict Mom
Every mother has her own unique approach to parenting and nurturing her children. It is up to them to determine how they will discipline their children. Some people favor the harsh approach, while others prefer the compassionate approach. **Mother knows best, but not all the time.** What were your parents' methods for disciplining you and your siblings? Was it a strenuous and tough one or a gentle one? When it comes to going out and hanging out with your friends, is your mother strict? If she does, it's fine because she simply cares about your safety.
But sometimes we can't help but think negatively, especially nowadays, when teenagers are easily irritated if their parents won't let them hang out with their friends. They will then become enraged, and questions will arise in their minds as to why their parents are like that, and why they must be so strict. They feel like they're in a cage. As they've said, the more strict the parents are, the more rebellious the kid will become. But still, it all depends on how the parents discipline their kids.
I would say that I am lucky that my mother is not a strict mother. She doesn't stop us from going wherever we want as long as we're with a good group of people. The only time my mother wouldn't let us hang out with our friends was when I was a kid. She wouldn't let me go outside because it was too hot and she wanted me to sleep in the afternoon. LOL, typical Filipina mothers. And as we grew older, she always allowed us to go and hang out with our friends. From our oldest to our youngest, we never heard her say "No" to us, except on my older brother. Which is the black sheep of the family (before).
She's confident in letting us go wherever we want because we're not the type of kids who love to go out and hang out with our friends, which also explains why she's not strict when it comes to that. Yes, we seldom go out of our house, and it is our own will, our choice to just stay in the house. We're not party-goers. That is why every time we asked her permission to hang out with our friends, she would automatically say, "Go ahead, that's good." "Enjoy!" Sometimes she will be the one who forces us to go out and have some fun. She is a super cool mom!
Our mother once shared with us their teenage days, along with her siblings, who are my aunt and uncles. My mom was the eldest, and she got all the household work. She would even wash two sacks of clothes, and they were a huge family. She had eight siblings. My grandfather was a strict father, and my mother could detect favoritism toward her and her siblings. My mother said that she wasn't totally enjoying her teenage years because she was already focused on household chores. My grandfather would not let my mother leave the house even if her friends invited her to go out, even if it was only a few blocks away or just in the same barangay.
I feel sad for my cousin because my aunt is so strict with her. My aunt won't allow her to go out and hang out with her friends. She can only go out and enjoy herself if she's with us, her cousins. And, she's 23 already, yet her mom won't allow her to go out. Because of how strict her mother is, that is one of the things that she hates the most. Well, I just couldn't blame my aunt for being a strict parent because my cousin was their *Única hija* and the middle child. And I understand why they are so strict with their daughter. But sometimes, it's too much to the point that my cousin couldn't enjoy her life anymore.
My mom said that my aunt was so free during their teenage years that my grandpa would allow them to go wherever they wanted, except for my mom. That is why she promised to herself that if she gets a family of her own, she will allow her kids to go out and will not be the kind of strict parent to her children because she doesn't want her kids to experience the same way she experienced it way back in her teen years.
So lucky to have a mom like her.
To someone who has a strict mother or parents, it's okay, they just did it for your own safety. But always remember,
***Mother knows best, but not all the time. :)***

Phone Exploration
Hey, there, my awesome read cash buddies! How's it going? It's Monday again, and Christmas is fast approaching. We only have 20 days left until Christmas! I do hope that it won't rain on Christmas Eve so that we can all have fun spending our time together with our family. And not just that, "Simbang Gabi" is almost up. I haven't completed my 9 nights before teehee, I won't promise this time but I will try to wake up early. hihi
So, tonight I ended up publishing an article late at night again. I already drafted this at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, but I haven't finished it yet because I have something important matter to do, but I planned to finish and publish it before 8 in the evening. As I was about to finish this, my cousin all of a sudden messaged me asking for a favor. She wanted me to finalize their marketing plan to be submitted tonight at 11:59, and me, as a very kind cousin, I finalized it first. It's not that hassle to do since all I have to do is to finalize everything and put it in one document. All I did is to follow the format and made some corrections. She sent their marketing plan at 8 pm and thankfully I was able to finished it at 9PM.
Okay, that's it. Enough with the chitchat. Here is my own version of phone exploration. I have seen other users doing this and I apologize if I didn't give proper credit to the first one who initiated this, for I have no idea who initiated this first. And if you're the first one who published an article about this, please let me know in the comment section so that I can edit this and give proper credit to you.

**Lockscreen Wallpaper**
I don't like putting wallpaper with so many light colours on it. I don't know why, but I just hate it. My eyes couldn't bear staring at it. I always prefer my phone in dark mode, where everything's black. My previous wallpaper was of my cat Tsuki, but in a black and white photo, but I changed it since last November. I love this wallpaper. It's in Shinjuku, Japan, in the street with crowded people. When I first saw this, I fell in love with the colour of this one. It's a mixture of red, black, and white.
**Homescreen Wallpaper**
As I have said, I am totally obsessed with dark and black colours. I always want my home screen wallpaper to be black or something gray, any photos that aren't too colorful. Ever since I got this phone, I haven't tried setting a new wallpaper with a colorful photo because it's always dark or most of the time it's a planet or a galaxy.
**Applications**
BORING. Yup, at first glance it's totally boring since it doesn't have something entertaining on it and doesn't have other more apps. Well, basically my phone only serves as my wallet. Literally LOL. As you can see, it doesn't have Facebook either, I already uninstalled it last month. The only thing that I use my phone for is for scrolling through noise and my wallet and also reading manga. You notice that I have a Korean Writing app, well it's for academic purposes only, I only used it once. HAHA. Uhm, does anybody here also mine Pi? It doesn't have a value yet but as they've said it will have value this December, I'm not sure.
**Recent Search on Google**
HAHAHA Shopee pa more! I search it to track where my parcel is located. It's been a week and a half but I still haven't received it so I wonder where my parcel have gone to. LOL
**Most used Emoji**
The real definition of my emotions, or should I say, my everyday mood. As you can see, those two in the first row are my favourite emoji and the most used too! Well, honestly, I only used those two on chat when I was being sarcastic. LOL
These are some things inside my phone. Just these ones, and I didn't include some photos in my gallery because I didn't want to. Most of them are just photos of Tsuki and our dogs. HAHA. I hope you guys enjoyed some bits of this.

10 Years Of 5SOS
Happy 10th anniversary to the band that saves me from my own demons, the band that has been my companion whenever I'm down and my stress reliever. My day is always made happier whenever I listen to your songs. My life wouldn't be complete if I couldn't listen to even just a single song of yours every day. You guys are the only band that I have really fallen in love with since the day that I first discovered you. I didn't regret knowing you guys. I didn't regret being in an awesome fandom who are as crackheads as you.

In 2011, a band called Five Seconds of Summer was born! They were Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin, the four Aussies who captured my heart just by listening to their songs. It was way back in 2014 when I first discovered them. I still remember it vividly in my memories. It was in the afternoon and I was watching MTV International countdown when I heard for the first time their song. I still have no idea who they were, but I truly enjoyed listening to them and also because of their music video, which is kind of entertaining too. The first ever song that I heard and the song that made me fall in love with them was the song titled "She Looks So Perfect".

They are both the best and worst band in history! They even won an award as the worst band, and you want to know what's even more funny? It's because the one who voted them to be the worst band is their own fandom, the 5S0SFam. It is because it is one of the bands' dreams to be titled as the worst band, and they achieved it! Totally crazy, right? One Direction's fandom and the 5sosFam are siblings. I mean, both fandoms are close to each other because 5SOS and One Direction are best friends. They were even invited to one of One Direction's concerts before, which was also the start of them getting recognised by people.
Being a fan of them is one of the best investments so far. LOL. Those band t-shirts, and the money I spent on them, were all worthwhile. But the saddest part of being a fan is that when the time comes for a concert, They went to the Philippines twice, and all of those times I wasn't able to attend. I even saved some money for that day, but still, I am living too far away from Manila. Like, I was in Cebu and they're in Manila. All I did that time was cry, watching them live.

Seeing them grow and become even more successful makes me feel very proud of them. Seeing how their careers grow and how they grow as a band, and not just that, seeing them be more happy together with their loved ones. And now, I can't believe that it's already been 10 years since they started playing and performing in the garage. I remember their first gig, where they only had 12 people, but right now, they already have millions of people supporting them. I couldn't be more proud of them.
As I was writing this, I was smiling, writing each word in this paragraph while listening to their songs. Since yesterday, I've been listening to their songs non-stop. Most of the songs that I've been listening to are their old songs. I will be sharing with you some of their old songs that you guys might like.

One of their favourite songs is, well, all of their songs are actually my favorites. LOL
