I don't know if women are blamed for not giving birth to the expected child in other countries. But this is kinda common scene in the developing and underdeveloped countries. Actually to be honest they are sometimes blamed for not giving birth to baby boy. If you don't know the fact that kind of abuse occurs and also don't know why women actually has nothing to do with determining the gender of the child. Let me explain you with the help of Genetics and also here out the corresponding parts.

I want to make it a completer article. Here I want to divide it into 3 parts. Woman abuse and child gender discrimination, why women shouldn't be blamed for that and girls are blessing of God too. So here I go,

Woman Abuse and gender discrimination of Child

Gender discrimination is there in the mindset of general people for thousands of year. All the time men are more preferred over women. At home, at workplace, almost everywhere. From the ancient time, people have a belief that boys are blessing of God and when God is unhappy, he sends a girl which is actually not true. But most of the people wants to have a boy. They think that girls are weak and also they are married of to another person and move to theirs, so investing on girls are waste. Also they can't take over the family and family business. But if it is a boy, he is strong, inherit the family business, and a lot of things may be that I don't know actually. So from this belief, people expect to have a baby boy.

But when family has high expectation for a boy but a woman give birth to a girl, then the problem begins. Woman are accused for giving birth to the baby boy which is entirely not upto them and they have nothing to do with it. They are accused, blamed that she is a curse and besides mental abuse, she often faces physical torture not only from the husband and also from other member They had to go through domestic violence. Many family gets broken for this simple reason. Believe me, I am telling this as I saw a lot of similar concepts here for years. If there are no sign of boy and you have two/three girls, then the condition become much miserable. Husband sometimes starts dating another girl and at home physically and mentally torture the wife. Many family gets broken. Husband gives divorce and also don't take care of the children. Woman has to suffer a lot raising their children.

Not only the wife, also the girl has to go through a lot. Being always blamed for not being a boy, compared with the boys and sometimes physically abused. I have recently heard a long story of a girl who was physically and mentally tortured for being a girl. To be honest, that day I realized, the things we read at newspaper, see at news are actually the trailer. The real scene is much more dangerous. The girl was abused and gets beaten by her father and even by her mother. Goes to school with several scars. After beating, if the injury is serious, she wasn't taken to any emergency clinic only. Her neighbors used to hear her scream and they rush to the spot to stop them and send the girls to doctors. The story I read, it was that long that it took almost 20 minutes to finish the whole post although it was written in bangla.

That's the actual face, although things are much much better now, yet in lower class families, it still is a problem. The girls are not sent to school and given proper facilities as they think she will one day move to another house and also take some of their property to another home. That's why they are not cared, and always had to go through a lot of struggling. She is only a burden to them. If she has a brother, then her suffering may become much more hurtful, seeing her brother getting the best treatment while she has to go through all the blame of the world, not given care and love like her brother is getting, discrimination in every facilities also sometimes get beaten. I know the world has changed a lot and this kind of discrimination is rare to see but here it is still preveiling in the lower class families as they always expect that their boy children will change their luck and will earn for the family and give family support whereas the girl is going to consume money and in the end she will marry another person and will move to another house.

But women has noting to do with the determination of the gender of the children.

Actually, none has anything to do with the gender. It's a natural process and you can say that it's upto God. But, the thing I want to say that, in the eye of genetics, a woman has no part determining the gender of the child. Rather the male plays the role determining the gender of newborn baby. Let me clear the fact to you. It's not too hard actually.

The number of chromosomes has a vital part determining the species and for human, each cell contains 23 pairs or 46 chromosomes. So as we have almost 10^14 cells. We have almost 46x 10^14 chromosomes in our body. Among the 23 pairs, 22 pairs are autosome, meaning they deal with our body functions and 1 pair is called sex chromosomes and it determines the gender of a living being.

So as I said, 1 pair=2 chromosomes determines the gender. So obviously this pair is different in man and woman. The two sex chromosomes of woman is XX whereas the two sex chromosomes for man is XY.

Now is the most vital part. We know a boby gets some traits from mother and some from father. So the baby has to get two chromosome to make a pair of sex chromosomes, one from mother and one from father. So as both sex chromosome of mother is X, so mother will always provide a X chromosome whereas man has a Xchromosome and a Y chromosome. So he will provide either X or Y chromosome. It's totally a natural process. Like a coin. The coin can be a head or tail that you don't know. Like that a father can provide X or Y chromosome that doesn't know. If he provides a X chromosome. The pair will be XX which is the sex chromosome pair of a female. And if he provides a Y chromosome then the pair will be XY which is the the sex chromosome pair of female. So we can see, a woman always provdes a X chromosome. But the other one from the father actually determines the gender of the newborn child. If he provide X chromosome, it's a girl and if he provides Y chromosome, then it's a boy. So actually father has a role to determine the gender of offspring and mother has nothing to do with it. Thogh this process is totally natural and you can't do anything about that. But if someone is to be blamed, it's the father, not the mother. She has nothing to do with the gender if you know the genetics and science behind the determination of gender.

Some there's not point in blaming the mother for giving birth to a daughter.

A baby girl is not a burden but lots of blessings

I am going to bring some part of my religion here. So please don't get offended.

A baby girl is considered a blessing from Allah. We are told that when Allah wants to bless someone and become happy, He blesses with a girl. So why she is a blessing?? We are told that, if they raise her baby girl with love and care and in rituous way, they will be awarded with Heaven. Having a daughter makes a distance from hell. Whoever is generous to their daughter, Allah is generous to them. And a daughter is like shield to her parents. Even for woman Islam has huge respect. We are told that " Heaven lies in the feet of your mother." So they are indeed a blessing for us

There are much much more. But I am not gonna bring a lot of religion here. Even if you think in a general way, daughters are more and more sweet than having a son. A daughter can love her parents more than a son. She brings happiness in her family. Even if any son become self centered, most of the time a daughter never leaves her parents alone. Even though she has to marry and move to his husband's home one day, still her love never decreases for a bit. The truth is that she takes care of the parents and family more than sons.

And not only that, if there were no girls. You and I wouldn't have born either. I know both man and women both are important to carry on the generations but still a mother has the bigger responsibilities. She not only bears and gives birth of the child but also takes care of them. Play a vital role in educating them. That's why Nepoleon said, " Give me an educated mother, I will gift you an educated nation." They play the most important part in raising a children.

Today woman are not behind too. In Read. Cash, most of the users are female too :D. Now woman are prevailing in every sector and contributing economically also. Begum Rokeya said, " Man and woman are like two wheels of a car, without one the car can not move." This is the truth. Now woman are becoming economically independent and getting higher studies and competing with men too. They are contributing almost half of world economy. Many renowned leaders are woman. Yes, they were once baby girls too. They grew up and now a part of this. So now man and woman has equal rights and there's no point of thinking baby girls as burden of the society.

Many male don't want female child, don't respect woman but in the end look for a female to get married and have babies XD. I don't know what to say here. A woman also always take care of the back of man. Inspiring her to do good and supports her when a man need. After all of this, I know why why this gender discrimination is still here. We have our unique parts and I think we all should respect for each other and fulfil our parts.
