Well, recently I was reading some articles and watching some videos about water and I am really shocked to see what is actually going in this world. To be honest, I never thought we can run out of water so fast. but it's actually happening behind our backs.
I have heard a story from my Mom. It's a real story in Islam and it's about two grandsons of our Prophet (S). All the members of the family including babies was on a journey and they suddenly felt very thirsty. But their enemies didn't let them drink water and there was a little war and all family members died. If you are really interested to know, I suggest you to read "Battle of Karbala" from wiki.
Yes, water is that much important that people had to give life for it. And we just get it turning the tap on. That much blessed we are. Everyone knows Muslims fast one month during every year. Really that time, I can feel how important water is. It really has a sweet taste. It teaches me to respect water. But the part is even may be I can't hold this feeling throughout the year. It's not a good sign for us.
I just told you about the war. May be now we are opening our tap. Drinking water and closing it. Too much easy for most of us. But do you know, a lot of actually die every year for lack of clean water.
Some of you may be thinking that it is happening is rural areas but it's actually not. This thing is spreading like a cancer. Some days ago, 25000 houses of London became waterless. Do you know the reason? For this Covid situation, people became so afraid that they started washing hands so often that they wasted water too much and became waterless totally.
The point is, this is what we actually do.
Can you notice what's the problem here? The tap is on while he/she using the soap. It takes at least 10 seconds to use the soap and rub hands against each other. use a bottle and collect water for 10 seconds. Now think billions of people doing this everyday, multiple times. That much water you are wasting in one day in this case only.
Not only that, washing stuffs like cars, building also wastes a lot of water. Not to say some people really like long bath and spends hours bathing. How much water they are wasting actually!! Some people don't turn the taps off after use. Sometimes pipes leaks. We are wasting water in various ways.
And if we talk about water pollution, the scenario is much much worse here.
The ground water level is also decreasing rapidly. It's now or never situation for us.
Is there is solution of all of these??
Yes, science has walked into advancement now. We have many many inventions that can come handy to solve water wastage.
We know many homes and restaurants are already using sensor based water taps. When you put hands under it, it will be activated and when you remove hand, it will turned off. In that way, you can stop wasting water a lot here
Another thing that may surprise you a lot. From these days, we knew that our source of water is rain, ground water and water bodies but do you believe the whole atmosphere around you is a water source. The air contains small water molecules and it is a great source of water.
Recently a machine has been invented that can turn air into water. It sucks the air, condense the water molecule and purify it and creates pure water. It can solve the problem of clean water. So we can hope for a good result.
Some may have heard of life straw. With this straw, we can drink clean water even from a dirty water source. It immediately purifies water and it can be a good invention to solve the problem of clean drinkable water.
Then we have to use the rain water more. Tish water are good and we can use rain water in our daily works. We can build large bowl structure or tub to collect rainwater o the roof or tank etc to collect rainwater, purify them and use them
We hope there will be many more advancement in science to reduce wastage of water and collect natural water.
But we really have to respect water and make sure that we don't waste and pollute them. Like we can turn the tap off while we are using soap and then again turn on, not to waste water more than it needs to clean anything. We have to be aware that we close the taps properly after every use. Our development boards also have to be aware of the leakage of any pipe and quickly fix it. And also have to aware of water pollution. Finally I just want to say that, Each and every drop of water is precious and it's our duty that we leave a better future for us and also for our upcoming generation.
That's all for today. Thanks for your attention.
I heard they were doing inexpensive desalination processes in some middle eatern lands to help with the water problem in their area. But recently there was a new kind of active carbon that was being massed produced to help clean uo pollyted rivers. I forgot which country that was in though
