For a while, I am trying to point out good lesson from many stories. This is also kinda same. It's a short story and the article wil be short. Hope you will like it.
Once there was a homeless sparrow. One a stormy night, it was troubled and on the verge of death. It prayed, "Oh, God, please help me. All I ever wanted is a little home. I just want to make a small nest and I will be satisfied with it." The God granted it's wish. Suddenly the sparrow saw light coming out of a room. The window is open. It quickly flew there. Then it saw it's actually the ventilator of a washroom. It passed it's night there.
In the next morning, he thought of making a small next there. There was enough space to make a small next. It started collecting straw and pigeon's feather to make a little nest. It was afraid that the dwellers of the house would break the nest. But the dwellers didn't do anything. They were kind and let the sparrow make a nest. It was small, so it wasn't any major problem for them.
Then it thought, there may be little space left, it can easily make the nest bigger. The more space, the more fun and it will be able to show it's friend that it has bigger nest. So, it started collecting more straws and feather. After a while, there was not enough space and straws and feathers started to fall on the bathroom floor. The neighbour was very much kind and it actually tried to make a barrier so that the straws and feathers doesn't come. Then the sparrow thought, there is a barrier. So, now I can make the nest even bigger. It started to collect more and more straw and feather. But soon, the amount was so big the, the barrier couldn't hold the nest and half of the nest fell on the bathroom floor. The whole washroom became dirty and bad smell was coming. In the end, the owner broke the full nest and the sparrow had to leave the place and again became homeless. It finally understood, it was it's greed which brought the misery in it's life again.
It's actually happend with us. Some days ago. Well, we tried a lot to do something about it but there was very bad smell and it's not possible to clean the feather, powder mud and straw from the washroom and the pipe may get jammed if the straw fall into the pipe. So, in the end, I told mom that, we can't do anything. The next has fallen twice and it's impossible to use washroom now for the bad smell. That's why we had to break the nest.
Sparrow nest is not new to us. In our old home, there was sparrow nest for some year. I saw eggs and babies. But twice I found it's dead. First time, the babies fell from the nest and dies. Mom assumed crows did that. Second time, we took care so that it doesn't fall. They became big and leant to fly little. But actually couldn't fly. It tried to fly from the building but it directly fell on the ground. I tried to save it then but couldn't. This time, we checked. There was no eggs nor any babies. That's why we decided to break. More like, we had to break.
Anyways, here we saw how greed brought downfall for the sparrow. Our life is also like it. Just think of trading and it's another perfect example to explain it. Sometimes, we have profit and when the coin is still pumping, we think more, a little more then I will sell. But eventually, for this greed, we can't sell and the coin gets dumped badly before our eyes. Then to get more profit, we lose the profit we had.
In our life, everything is like this. The one's who has restrained their greed wins. But who things of getting more and more and becomes blind, they actually falls in the ground. When they are ground, they think of going high up in the sky. But when they goes to the sky, they again want to go up. But they forget to look down. And when they fall, they suffers the most. Greed is a brainwasher. In fact it's one of the seven deadly sins. Greed bring many more sins. Jealousy, stealing, murder they come from greed. But, in the end, it give you a little but takes everything.
We are merely humans and they are part of us. But if fight greed, leans to be satisfied in life. Becomes happy with what we have, we can fight greed. When I get any profit, I say, profit is profit no matter how small or big it is. To fight with greed, we must learn to be satisfied with what we have and should avoid focusing what other have. We need to realize what's minimum for living and what's showing off. I think realization will help us to open our eyes and will help us focusing on our own contentment and thus we will be able to fight greed.
